Ski Area: Pico Peak - Mendon, VT

Conditions: A Fantastic Corn Harvest followed by Summer Slop Fest

Trip Report:

Great day at Pico today! After a late night down in New Haven, CT managed to rally and hit the road a little after 6 this morning. Got out on the hill around 9:45 and skied to around 3 with a break for a beer (or three) on the deck! Managed to log a healthy 21,000 feet of decent. There wasn't a cloud in the sky pretty much all day long, temps started in the upper 40's and went skyward during the day approaching the mid to upper 70's which turned things a bit sloppy to say the least. None the less, managed to harvest some wicked good corn snow early morning on a few consecutive runs, got into the trees a bit and got a few thousand face shots tearing up the slop bumps! Skied in a T-shirt all day and as a result my forearms are burnt to a crisp right about now. Hello aloe!!!!
