Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback

Conditions: Powder! Packed Powder!

Trip Report: Holy-Crap-A-Doodle Saddleback is coming into form. Took a day off from work and headed up with my friend to Saddleback for a day of uncrowded goodness. Temps in the lower 20's, no wind and man they are BURIED in the woods. Every glade skied absolutely outstanding! This wasn't a blower powder day, but everything was just deep and soft. Perfect for what I like to ski.

Casablanca - Dropped in #4 then #1 - Very nice. Soft snow leading to untracked goodness at the bottom of each run.

Intimidator - Absolutely killed this glade. Linking turns top to bottom. Snow soft and fun and lower Imitimidator skied very well. Did this 3 times.

Nightmare - top part roped off, but little goat track open to a very soft and fun run. Of all the times I have skied the 'Back this is the first time I have been really been able to rip it on this glade. Very fun with lots of bumps and jumps even for the old geezer.

Dark Wizard & Thrombosis - Somehow didn't get into these! What were we thinking? Wait, we got distracted by all the soft snow on frost bite, black beauty, family secret, governor. jane craig, peachy's peril, professor, golden smelt... We ran out of time!

The have Tight Line open which is great because you can cut over after the headwall to Wardens Worry, Frost Bite and Black Beauty and skip their headwalls.

STELLAR. IT'S ON PEOPLE! TAKE A DAY OFF AND GET TO SADDLEBACK.

Ha! Thanks. Took a little jump, landed on a snow whale and down I went. However, I like the way my Yard Sale was tightly clustered for easy equipment retrieval.
