Steep skiing icon Dean Cummings introduces Steep Life film and powder skis that carve too

Cummings, former US Freestyle Ski Team Captain, World Extreme Skiing Champion and Alaska heli-skiing pioneer will be touring ski areas around New England this holiday season to showcase his signature line of skis and his newest ski film, “The Steep Life.”
“The Steep Life” chronicles how Cummings’ lifelong commitment to skiing leads to epic solo first descents this past spring of Meteorite Mountain and The Tusk in Alaska’s storied Chugach Range.

Dec. 20 Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum, 6 p.m. “The Steep Life” film and award-winning Be Snow Smart avalanche safety program. $5 cover benefits the museum.
Dec. 21 Stowe Mountain Resort. Ski with Dean; meet at 4 Runner Quad for laps from 10 – Noon and 1:30 – 3:30. Those wising to demo the skis themselves can do so by stopping by Today’s Edge on Mountain Road, Dec. 21 only. No charge.
Stratton
Dec. 27. All day. Ski with Dean and demo the skis from 1 – 3:30 p.m. Meet at the ski school private lesson meeting area. Screening of the “Steep Life” film begins at 5 p.m. in the West Wing of the Base Lodge. Hosted by Stratton Activity Hub. No admission fee.
Participants at all events can collect a coupon with details on how to enter a drawing for a free trip for two to Cummings H2o Guides heli-skiing operation in Valdez, AK.
