I've long loved classic long trails and have come to prefer them with substantial but not relentlessly excessive challenge. Lower Antelope at MRG fits that bill perfectly (preceded by Catamount Bowl > "Cantaloupe"). So does Lower FIS at Sugarbush/Ellen. Cannon's Taft>Upper/Middle Hardscrabble is pretty pleasing too.

In a similar but easier vein, Polecat at Wildcat and Hudson's Highway at Saddleback when the kids were starting out. (As of this past spring they now do Lower Antelope with me.)

Wow, some good picks here.

How about Obsession at the River? A great steep cruiser....
For Sunday River, I would go for one of their lift line trails. No other mountain in New England has as many great lift line trails as Sunday River (maybe because no other mountain in New England, save Killington, as that many lifts!). The lines under Oz and (I think) Jordan Bowl are sensational.... Carramba and Ruby Palace as I recall. Agony is a really nice bump run for straight up bump run without obstacles.

The Loaf - Binder or Widowmaker.

Saddleback - Ungroomed Peachey's Peril or Blue Devil

Sunday River - Excaliber and American Express. (although Sal, I agree that Lazy River can be fun when you can rip down it without a big crowd)

Not enough experience at other places to determine favorites.
