What a difference a few inches of snow makes. The mountain skied really well on Monday. It helped that the temps were comfortable and it was a sunny bluebird day. Slight wind at times, but no lift issues when we were there. It appears that Ursa was still running of the diesel engine.

Snow was pretty consistent on the upper mountain; granular and edgeable. It was soft in spots towards the bottom or in areas that were in direct sun. Run of the day was Spruce for us. Nice snow, no people. And speaking of, ski on all the lifts. We rode Amex and Ursa most of the day. Took a quick run over on Sunbrook, but Lower Middlebrook was pretty soft. From what we could see, hardly a wait at the Gondola for those that chose that option.

A great day with some really good runs. Sometimes, you get lucky when you plan a day off in advance.

Another round of snow would certainly help things along. Fingers crossed.
