Just starting to get into hiking with my 9 year old daughter (didn't take the 4 year old twins on this one). It was a crystal-clear day; pretty hot out on those fields of granite! The views were spectacular and I found the hike challenging (42 years old, in pretty good shape). My 9 year old was a good sport--she's an athletic kid--but I think this hike pushed the envelope for her a little bit.

It was a blast overall; I'm amazed by the variety of hikes around Waterville.

This is my favorite hike in the region. I like doing it in mid September. You get to see foliage starting below you. Awesome. The recent new larger parking lot and bathroom facilities really make this nice. Glad you had fun.
