Will be at Canyons tomorrow for first chair should be a great day with less wind and actually able to see whats in front of me.
I think I'll hold out until Friday afternoon when it'll be a bit warmer.

Selfishly hoping at least one of either Jupiter or 9990 doesn't open tomorrow, or absent that, there's a Friday or Saturday rope drop on the Super Condor pod.
If Condor opens I'll basically live there all day Saturday!

I will be waiting just because I don't want to get killed by the stampede of hungry skiers and snowboarders.......

Ill let you know how it is tomorrow and Ill ask some of my friends that work in lifts and patrol if Condor is even on their radar to open.

Appreciate it. Yeah, patrol may have their work cut out for them just inspecting everything they have and dynamiting the usual suspects. I expect to wake up to lots to TNT blasts tomorrow morning. Love it!

@ThatGuy - you basically live on top of the lift, curious if you believe this 31" figure?

I dont really see how they get that; the snow stakes dont show it, and I dont see that much from the on-mountain public stations. I know wind can be an obvious factor to "remove" snow, but Deer Valley reported 23".

katz ordered a Jay Peak Ruler!

That's kind of what I'm thinking & why I'm asking.

PC is usually pretty honest with this, but the last snowfall they were shady, using a station that got the most snow (9 inches) on unopened terrain, but at least in that case 9" really did fall. This one I'm just kind of skeptical about is why I'm asking, but I'm thinking the complete lack of snow is making them ditch their "snow reporting morals".

Holy crap. Snake Creek is like my backyard.

And 18 "reported" avalanches in just one day! Hopefully no idiots try to ski Dutch Draw or Square Top.

#Breaking Avalanche Response Below Mary’s Chute Near Brighton Resort BRIGHTON, Utah — Emergency responders were dispatched around 12:30 p.m. today to reports of an avalanche below Mary’s Chute, an area just outside the ski boundaries of Brighton Resort at 8302 S Brighton Loop Rd. Unified Police Department, Unified Fire Authority, and Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the scene. Initial reports indicated that only one person was observed in the slide. Brighton Ski Patrol and other resources quickly mobilized to the location. After a search effort, one individual was located in the debris. CPR was immediately initiated by responders. A medical helicopter was dispatched to transport the patient but made several attempts to land at different locations before high winds forced it to return to base without making contact. The patient was ultimately transported by ground ambulance to an area Hospital for further treatment. No additional details on the individual’s condition or identity have been released at this time.

Idiots.

I can believe at least 2’ fell at the top of the mountain its super deep out there right now

Deer Valley reported 23" so 2' seems more believable, and the Daybreak station captured 27".
But I dunno where 31" comes from, just curious where they're coming up with it.
