Hey All,

The days are getting shorter and in a few short months..the northern and western resorts will be blowing the mice out of the snowguns. Where do you plan on skiing this season? Are you thinking of hitting any new resorts? For me Blue mountain, Stowe and Jackson Hole are the three places I hit every year. I want to ski in Utah and Western Canada..I don't know where. I was origionally going to my friends wedding in Montana in September but I decided not to since they're only getting married because they have a kid together and he's not even into her..so that opens up alot more vacation time. It would also be cool to ski with more AZers. I know there are a few new members with season passes to Blue mountain and everytime I visit Vermont, there is a good chance some AZers will be around. I don't care about becoming a better skier or skiing tons of deep powder..I just want to ski alot..that's always the goal..and hitting some new resorts will be sweet..anyway I can't wait for it to be ski season already!!!!:daffy:

only thing definite is Ragged (pass) Wildcat and whatever is offered up for swag on the Warren Miller film.

Strong possibilities would be Stowe, Cannon, Sunapee

would like to make a Blue bump comp

Lots of other areas in life I need to devote money towards at the moment, so however many places I can get to for as many days possible on $600 worth of lift tickets (pass is $329 of that) and $400 worth of travel.

oh and definitely some Mt. Washington turns. No excuses now that I have AT gear.

Well this year should be fun... I have a bunch I will be hitting...

Here is my breakdown:

Home Mountain
Wa-wa-wachusett... Since I am moving (yet again) this time to Lexington since me and the fiance want a nice place to raise some spawn who will eventually learn to ski, and plus living in Boston sucks for kids especially for schools, RT 2. looks great, with Wednesday nights becoming wa-wa-wednesdays.

Multiple Visits
Sunapee (for some snow days away from work)
Gunstock (a special spot for me)
Waterville
Loon
K-Mart for opening day and mid season possibly

Single Visits
Sunday River - Missed last year
SlO-kemo
Sugarbush - Missed last year
Mt. Snow - Missed Last year
Stowe - MIssed last year

Colorado Trip
Like last year, heading out to Vail with buddies... So figure 3 days of skiing at Vail and Keystone most likely.

So there you have it, my goal is for 30+ outtings this year, but depends of financial and etc.

Season pass at Blue for me and my two boys

Christmas break will be three days skiing up at Whiteface (my better half shuttle us to mountain then hangs in town. I did not know shopping was an alpine sport :spin: )

Presidents weekend will be Jay and Stowe (crowded, I know....)

Spring break will most likely be Sugarloaf and Jay, but maybe... just maybe will do mammoth.

Thats the plan anyway....

Seasons pass again at Mountain Creek, but I hope to open my season at Hunter in Nov and early Dec.

Most holiday weekends and a few other randoms thrown in will be spent in NH, most likely Ragged.

I'm also hoping to chase down some super deals ($9 Wildcat tix, $14 V-Day @ SB, etc.)

I'll hit:
Sunday River (seasons pass) 10+
Stratton - on snow trade show 2days
Sunapee - company party in April 1 day
Winter Park - on snow trade show 2 days
Snowbird - 7-8 days
Jackson Hole - 4 days
Deer Valley - 4 days
those are pretty much guaranteed, would like to get to
Squaw Valley - visit some customers and spend time with 2 new employees...on the hill!
Snowbasin - they have an on snow trade show there in Feb...two years ago they got 4' and skied untracked all day
That should be good for ~30 days...which may have to do since we've got baby #2 due at the end of Oct.

Gunstock as much as work/family permits, definitly over all holiday periods with multiple weekends thrown in. Maybe a few Wa Wachusett nights. Definitly at least 1 long weekend trip to whatever resort is offering up the best deals when we can make it happen.

Some devisions are hard some are not. Being a slacker and racing in the silver it was easy. I flux between gold and silver.

Word...when I participated the most in 2005-06, I was the top Bronze 21-29 year old racer at Blue and one of the best in the state but I only got a silver medal a few times..this season I'll be 30 which should help me a small amount..I never had any interest going to the Nastar Nationals because it seems like a mobscene although the prices are good and I've never skied Steamboat Springs.

I'll add Xanadu to the list if they ever open..I figured I'd get a few summer sessions in this summer but oh well..

In my mind, northern New England
SR, SL and Loon -- pass
Wachusett after work -- pass
Sunapee -- class trip

On blackout days, I will hit: Magic (if they open), Jay Peak, Cannon, Sugarbush, MRG or Stowe. I hope to hit Alta during spring break if the finances look right. Saddleback is the only one left on the "eastern mountains you've never skied list." Late March to June/July will see me around the Mt. Washington area -- Tux, Gulf of Slides, Great Gulf and other snow covered slopes. I plan to do more bc next season.
