It's been a great start to the Season, 16, two of which have been 12"+ storms. I am not retired, I did not take any of my four weeks vacation in the off-season. That in combination with the fact we've been ungodly slow at work, that I am able to skate, err ski, when necessary. Hi I'm Bob, I'm an Alpineoholic. It's my healthiest addiction to date, till I hit a tree or a pole. I do wear a helmet as of 12/24/10, I figure if I kiss a tree, no matter what speed, would probably want a helmet on.

It looks like January will not start out as well. Too bad the predicted upcoming rain event was not snow instead. It would have been perfect skiing with snow finally in the trees. Oh well, December was above average, especially since there was no real snow storm at my home hill, Greek Peak, just lake effect and snowmaking. Zero ice, I have a feeling that's about to change. Time to finally get my bases done, this is the East after all. The Winter sans ice dream was nice while it lasted. I hear the West calling.

Ended up being only 5. But 4 of those 5 being powder days. So I'm not complaining.

Missed the northeast storm due to illness. Also, right after the 5 powder days in the Rockie, I was for the first time I can remember, not very motivated to ski the northeast wet cement we term powder...
