I"ve always wanted to try it but it does make me a bit nervous, and very little in skiing makes me nervous.... at least on published trails

is he the youngest to ever ski it? must be or very close to it

Skiing a technical line like Corbett's takes four things

1. Technical skill
2. Psychical Fitness - doubt many out of shape folks go over that lip
3. Ballz
4. Mental Focus

Unbelievable that that kid has even 1 out of 4. I'm not so sure I'd ski Corbett's unless the conditions were perfect. I think I have the ability, but lack the ballz.

I wonder if Doug was there if he'd let his boy give it a go. I'm not a father, but if I was, I'd be most concerned with the Mental Focus aspect of a 4 year old skiing that run.

I've looked but not leaped into Corbets. I'm afraid and that's not good.

Will the kid be in next year's WM movie?

Its all fun and games until that kid spills down that chute. The problem is that if you do that at 4 whats next? :dontknow: Talk about living with the ghost of dad.

Many moons ago I was a liftie on the mountain's beginner double chairlift. You could always tell the never ever been on a chair lift before. You would see the adult parent with the 4 - 7 year old child. The parent would have this horrified look and just stop thinking and do the wrong thing. The child on the other hand being accustomed to new learning experiences., you could see their little minds thinking, looking and analyzing the situation. The child always did the right thing. They get off the chair at the right time and successfully ski down the ramp. The adult usually failed miserably the first time. I gained a lot of respect for young children watching them get off the beginner chair lift their first time. Kids are awesome.
