    Mt Snow 21-22 Season

Ok thanks - sounds like it should be doable. I'm way more interested in skiing without throngs of humanoids than the degree of totality...

    Mt Snow 21-22 Season

Pretty cool info doc. So any inside dirt on what is expected on freakin Eclipse Monday? I read that everything's booked up around the mt. and that non-skiing public can park for free - expecting a shtshow for skiers? Midweek pass here so would be good to hit it for leftovers but...

    Wildcat and Attitash

Jester - I've spent a lot of time on the Kitty and B/C up there and beside conditions just want to say every one of your pics is killer. Great view of the range on skier's left on what I imagine is Upper/Middle Wildcat? The light in the tree shots is crazy magical. Good on ya...

    Mt Snow 21-22 Season

Sun drenched and a bit windy today (more on the lifts than heading down) with mix of soft dense corn and more chunky/firm depending on when and where - overall ski-on solid day. Carinthia parking lot was as uncrowded as I've seen all year.

    Mt Snow 21-22 Season

no idea....Chute/Fallen Timbers weren't bad at all - Olympic closed.

    Mt Snow 21-22 Season

Medium-heavy and thick serving of spring-like mashed spuds of all textures smothered and covered the mighty Snow massif today. Sunshine daydream before the wet rot begins. Looks like late Feb. is the new late March. 1- Ridge. 2- Ridge woods which got soft and ok for a while for a few turns...

Extreme Snowboard Carving Serious Safety and Skiing Community issue

This thread popped into my head once or twice today at Mt. Snow as it was a bit more crowded than I'm used to midweek and required a lot more passing, etc. as well as plenty of young bombing boarders and skiers letting loose. My normal style is some sort of skier's version of that long carve...

    Helmet / Goggle Interface

Not the most elegant fix but a few years ago I stuck some hard-surface grip tape (black triangle) patches on either side of my helmet that grip the goggle strap when they're on the "brim." Also stuck some under the rear strap snap. Works great and the color scheme/pattern of this particular lid...

A beer or drink at Lunch, a warming shot on the Lift, a sip in the Woods. Do you?? Don't you?? How far have you seen a person drink and Ski or ride??

I'm a certified beer pig but basically never drink during the day (not discipline, just don't want it until it's time to relax) and definitely never while skiing. Just doesn't fit the activity if you ax me. Weed? Every time...isn't that what the trees are for?

    Mt Snow 21-22 Season

Ski-on bluebird bliss yesterday on the North Face. Super-soft corn/mashed potatoes with usual late-season grabby wet areas down low as you approach the lift. First two pics are looking up and down Chute, which was definitely run of the day. Coverage hanging in there pretty much all over the...

    Kitty Will Not Be Denied

Almost sounds like you were there too pinion because you're exactly right - the steeper pitches on Lynx were like getting shot out of a cannon.

    Kitty Will Not Be Denied

Yeah Vail definitely sucks but this mountain doesn't and delivers despite the chaos. Cold Sunday that was predicted cloudy but sun arrived before noon and nice sort of smooth sugar on top of bullet base and ski-on quad and basically empty trails (Stupor Bowl exit? ) made for hero speed on...

    Skinning the (Wild) cat...

A little late pulling the trigger on this but in these lean post-season days thought I’d spread some stoke from skinning Wildcat last Saturday. About 15-20 cars in the lot when I showed up and a solid foot of new and very heavy snow on the mountain. Typical Pinkham Notch weather throughout the...

    The NEW Magic Mountain

Speaking of Thursday, literally one of the best days ever with ridiculously rippable corn. Everybody there, and there weren't that many, knew it was one to remember. Here's a pic from top of Heart of Magician looking back up at Magician on left and Broomstick on right. That shine ain't ice.

    The NEW Magic Mountain

Another killer Thursday - whole mountain is locked up solid with creamy soft on top all day. Trail pic is looking back up Heart of Magician - bumped-up playground.
