East side conditions were very nice yesterday (02/13). Keep an eye on the impact of the traffic this weekend as well as the deep freeze though.

Anyone have any thoughts on Sierra? I know it's not the premiere mountain in the area, but I have an opportunity to get there on a one day bus trip during a business trip to San Francisco at the end of the month.

I'm going to keep watching and make a decision on Thursday. Day trip from CT is really my only option, so Whiteface is certainly out. It doesn't seem like anything else in Vermont will fare appreciably better south of maybe Killington. If the weather doesn't work out I just won't take the day...

Thinking of heading up Friday depending on what the accumulation on Thursday looks like. Hopefully more snow and less ice/rain.

We were going to head up to Mt. Snow Saturday for what we expected to be a nice spring day in the 60's. 30's and rain coming off a freeze isn't quite what we were banking on.

Based on radar it looks like the sleet/rain never made it to Magic (though it must have gotten close), and has now mostly receded out of So VT. I'm interested to see what the snow reports look like tonight/tomorrow AM.

I think I will be making the trip up solo on Thursday. Looks like a good day.

We're locked into a condo at Smuggs this weekend, so I've been watching. This mid week storm isn't ideal, but it seems to me things are trending better over the past two days. If the temp stays a few degrees cooler and limits NFP, the impact may not be so bad.
