    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Yea...GMX was unique in that it had that extra backup. I don't think Bravo has 2 Diesels...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

An electric motor could die or have a problem without it being an issue with the power being supplied to it. That's the logic why the diesel needs to actually run the lift directly.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Reverse Traverse has been on the trail map for years... (since 1992 to be exact...previous to that it was on the map but labeled Heaven's Gate Traverse all the way across)

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

? The "new" reverse traverse hasn't been cut. The ACT 250 approval came too late. Allyn's Traverse and Valley House Traverse have both been named trails for quite some time. Allyn's Traverse goes from where Jester becomes an all natural trail over towards and past Allyn's lodge to where it...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Whatever the issue is, it doesn't seem like Sugarbush is overly concerned as their recent social media posts indicate they're focusing snowmaking on getting Bravo open as soon as possible before expanding to HG. Although in retrospect, if there being an issue with the diesel backup on Bravo is...

    Indy Ski Pass

I doubt Big Bear due to the ownership nature there with it actually being owned by the community (Masthope). And I just tried Tussey based on your guess and we have a winner! (Sawmill is already on Indy).

Which also means several other lifts are close to 30 since Otten installed a bunch that year. But Bravo by far has the most hours on it since it is used more than just in the winter...

    Killllington 🎿🏂🏂🎿🎿🏂🏂🎿😀

This is an odd fad. What's the point of the turtles on your ass? Also odd that they're all from NJ. I don't know anyone in NJ that skis with any sort of animal strapped to their ass. Eh? I just re-read the last bunch of posts to see if I missed something. Sorry, people were just asking...

    The NEW Magic Mountain

Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't sound like the Bousquet issue required any design and fabrication of new parts (only realigning several towers is what I see mentioned in several articles)...so not quite an apples to apples comparison.

    Indy Ski Pass

I just tried multiple variations of both Plattekill and Elk on Indy's website to see if they had a page setup for either (I've used this method to "guess" other resorts before they were formally announced). Couldn't come up with anything for either (doesn't mean it definitely won't be as there...

    The NEW Magic Mountain

Can you cite another lift that while being relocated had someone make a rather substantial mistake in the engineering design and also happened to have a global pandemic in the middle that significantly disrupted global supply chains? This problem does not exist elsewhere because it is pretty...

Looks good! I'd lean towards Pinot Noir myself with that!

    The NEW Magic Mountain

The ACT 250 permit application filing says 900K for the project cost (they described it in the application as "construction costs"). Since the application fee is based on project cost, what happens if a project goes over that cost? Obviously there would have been substantial costs added here...

    Gore,Whiteface,Belleayre lift tickets?

At least at Belleayre you can still buy full-price tickets at the window (except during holiday periods). They also reserve the right to limit quantities of window ticket sales on non-holidays. So the prices do exist and aren't only a marketing ploy. How many people actually buy at the window...

    Early season snow reports

LOL. Yes...amazing how many people show up without checking any reports ahead of time. I see that all the time. Also love when people ask questions on FB of things like "how do I find out what trails are open at resort xyz?" I guess some people don't realize you can use the Internet for more...
