Only you folks could understand this.

I lost my "Blizzard of Ahhh's" DVD!!!! I opened my "Greg Stump's Foursome" case and no "Blizzard of Ahhh's" DVD!!!! It's by far my favorite ski movie. I moved to a new house about 4 months ago and I have no idea where it could be. I went to Amazon.com to try and order a new copy, but...

Next Years Pass - Help w/choice

Thanks to everyone for their input, I really appreciate it !! I think I am going to go to Mt Snow this coming Sunday (If they open) and check the mtn out. Anything other than a Sunday pass is a waste of money for me. Its really our only free day to get out. My wife's union lets us get some...

Next Years Pass - Help w/choice

My family had Sunday passes at Stratton this season. That would be me, my wife and our 7 and 9 year old daughters. I was thinking of the option of Mount Snow Sunday passes for next season. I like the Sunday passes, they are perfect for us, it allows a little flexability to go to other places...

How many days did you get 2010-11??

I think I did about 17 or 18 days this season. I also got in about 7 snowmobile days too. Not too bad of a season considering all of my obligations and that my wife tore her ACL and I had to play mom.

    Riding the rollers

For those of you people who ride rollers or on trainers, what do you do while you are pedaling. After 4 or 5 miles I get bored beyond belief. I've tried watching portions of the TDF on the tv, that helped, but I only have a few stages taped. Any suggestions?

    A nice bike ride downtown

That is one crazy video. The view at :07 is beautiful. I'd love to see a compilation of the wipeouts from this.

    Recruiting newbies to our sport

I have kind of pessimistic opinion about a few ski areas and their true involvement in skiing. I think alot of areas are truly in it for the big dollars, even though they do provide a pretty nice area to ski at. Lessons are just another opportunity to make more money. (I kind of compare that...

    I tore my ACL today

Thanks to everyone for the extra free education and on what to expect. My wife did a 60-90% tear of her ACL on Dec 19. Her surgery is Feb 11. She has had very little pain or swelling. She is doing the allograft. The copy of her MRI's were really cool to look at even if we really couldn't...

How many days do you expect to ski/ride in January 2011?

Probably only 4 or 5, I'll wait and burn vacation days when we have better snow.

What was your biggest eye opener for skiing???

I started skiing when I was 19, for the first 2 years I skied with a bunch of friends and we all had zero style or technique. While I was away for college I had a part time job, one of my older coworkers, Brad, told me he was a level 1 PSIA ski instructor. I had no clue what the PSIA was...

Which AZers can walk the talk?

I sat next to Glen Plake during not one, but two different ski movies or so I thought. All thru the movie he kept running mouth how he could launch further over the cliff, how he could have done a cooler trick than that guy, how the snow in the french alps is better than all the rest, how the...

Any roadies thinking about trying MTB, or vice versa?

After mtb'ing for a few years, I noticed some of the faster guys rode road bikes also (some of them). I found a road bike at a garage sale for $50. I think it was a Centurion?? It was a lugged steel frame with Sugino parts and a Sakae rear deraileur?? The woman had no idea what she was...

    WM's Wintervention

Fortunatly for me, about 20 years ago, one of our local video rental places had someone who liked ski movies and they had about 20 or so of them. That made for a really long summer. I started watching the WM movies first and then started watching the Greg Stump ones. Unknowingly, I saved the...
