Hi, Unfortunately it seems that I tore my ACL. I am looking for an ortho at NY Presbytarian. Any recommendations very welcome. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using AlpineZone

    Utah?

Fwiw, I skied Alta, Solitude and Brighton with a week. Solitude was by far the least busy, even on a weekend day. Rarely rode with others on the lift. Brighton was way busier even though I skied there on a weekday. Sent from my iPhone using AlpineZone

Too funny. Was talking to a local this morning. Another came along and started telling this story. I showed him the post. It is a small world! Sent from my iPhone using AlpineZone

Article on "mega pass" being bad for the sport

Somebody told me that DV is asking for “reservations” for Ikon passes. You can’t just show up. Is that true? Sent from my iPhone using AlpineZone

    Utah?

I skied Alta last Fr and Sat, and BCC afterwards. I did not wait more than 5 minutes at Alta, but generally less. Solitude was mostly ski-on. Brighton was more crowded, but still at most a few minutes. Don’t forget that kids ski free at Brighton, so that makes it a more attractive. I would...

    Utah?

I was at the Cottonwood canyons for 6 days before yesterday. Temps went up to 40s during the say and froze at night. But no ice, just hardpack in the morning and spring conditions later in the day. Though places like Honeycomb became challenging towards the end. I had a great time regardless...

Well, it would only be 20 minutes, right? You just have to wake up a little earlier. But the latest Platty forecast I saw was down significantly... Sent from my iPhone using AlpineZone

    Hunter Mtn Expansion Details

Well, sometimes the effect is opposite. A couple of years ago I was skiing in Switzerland, wide open and empty trails, great conditions, etc. I recorded as usual. The max speed was just shy of 60mph. But it did not mean anything to me. Fast forward, the next year I was watching the Olympics...

Have been in Utah skiing, tomorrow is Day 6 and heading back in the evening. Have been checking already for the weekend. This is just great! The only question is if I just go to Catskills or drive to Stratton. I used all my K days on Ikon and I should not drive to Sugarbush for just two days...

    East coast pass options suck.

Well, I did exactly that and moved to Northern Westchester, and my commute to the city was horrible approaching 3 hours a day RT. So I moved back to the city. Now I drive extra for skiing. I don’t mind it but it is hard on the kid, and I don’t want her to dislike skiing because if the drive. So...

    East coast pass options suck.

My only complaint is that they took away Catskills and NY state and are not bringing them back. That was giving NY skiers good closer options as I have a 9 yr old daughter and hard to drive 4+ hrs each way for two days of skiing. If I were Epic, I’d have done something on that to grab the NY...

Wearable Ski Coach - New Era?

Bringing this up. This seems to be gaining traction. There was an FT article. And a few others. But nothing from the skiing industry (unless I missed it). Does anybody have experience with this or have heard from others who used it. I am curious, but don’t want to pay for something that does...
