    Hermitage club

Hermitage Club signs all over the big belly solar powered trash compactors around the Financial District/South station. Few variations, below aren't verbatim l. "Skiing in 45 minutes?" With some folks hopping off a private jet "Powder all day?" Sent from my iPhone using AlpineZone

Wildcat behind the pack this year

Plus Attitash has received approval for the longest zip line in the continental US. Will go from top of Bear Peak to Attitash. They are killing it with the summer attractions.

    Attitash Opening Date

This is the first year they've pushed Wildcat specifically as the first to open of the two mountains. December 7th is a little late, but in line with Attitash's normal timing. Feedback from around town is that ownership has done a good job reconnecting with the MWV and they had some record...

Keeping a phone charged while skiing

In a serendipitous bit of timing after reading this thread, I was at Starbucks this morning and a woman from duracell gave me a free powermat case. Nice little hook to spend the 30 bucks for a home powermat, but does make charging easier while out and about.

Best pass for the Seascoast NH crowd

I saw more cops on Rt. 16 this past Friday night than I have in the last 10 years of heading up there regularly. Right from Newington up to almost Madison. Even saw a bunch Sunday morning on the way back. Couple groups of people pulled over between Chocorua Lake and Route 25.

    Ski Busses from NYC-Reccomendations?

model based on short (30 min up to a few hours) rentals. Becomes expensive at the full day rate, plus you're limited to 180 miles per day without penalty

What is the furthest distance you will drive to go skiing for a single day?

apres is a big part of the skiing experience, so I rarely day trip. Seat by the fireplace with a few cocktails is an infinitely better day than a few hours behind the wheel.

And the most expensive lift ticket for 2012-2013 goes to........

I keep needing to remind myself to juxtapose lift ticket prices with greens fees. Not only with skiing are you granted access to all of the best areas, it's remarkably more affordable than golf. Pebble $495 Bandon/Pac Dunes: $210-280 St. Andrews: $140-$200 (ballpark w/exchange) Even "good"...

Pretty sure I'm not, unless I missed the reputable survey company that collected the data and accounting house that verified the results.
