    Season Pass Options/Considerations

Its really not 15 minutes more than Loon.By the time you go through town its maybe 5 minutes more as you know you exit right to the parking lot at Cannon.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Seems to me they could require quad pack holders to just try to reserve a date(s) for usage by a minimum waiting period of a week or something of that sort.

    Cannon Lover's Thread

And Cannon only ran the tram Friday through Monday anyway.I'll bet there is no tram this year.

    Best Base Area Bars

    Who is right?

My home mt Cannon pisses me off with their "we have the most trails in NH" crap. They divided their trails up into so many pieces,no shit.Miles and/or acres is where its at for me.

Park City Powder Cats/Other Cat Skiing Outfits

Have done catskiing 7 different trips in BC.Monashee Powder Adventures first 3 times and Mustang Powder the last 4.In roughly the same area about 50 or so miles west of Revelstoke, this area has the best snowfall in North America.Even in low snow years the lodge had at least 6-7 foot base.Mind...

Ski pole attack punctures kid's brain

That reminds me of the first few days i started skiing at a rope tow on a golf course.A guy came out of control and ran into the lift line.Had his poles pointed straight ahead and planted one of the pointed tips(at that time) right to the basket in a persons thigh.Almost ended my short skiing...

Keeping snow out of your boots when skiing in shorts

Whenever I wear shorts for skiing its along with a ski pant shell. As soon as the run is over the pants get unzipped and opened for the chairlift ride or when not skiing.

    Lake Louise

LL being at the eastern end of the Rockies has a pretty low annual snowfall by western standards. The northern latitude however usually keeps all that they do get.The annual snowfall 20 years ago when I went was listed then under 200 inches.

    Coldest you have ever skied?

I hate when windchills are reported on the weather.I mean, even if its calm and 10 below I ski at 50 mph so the windchill is apparently 45 below.

    Cannon Lover's Thread

It was blowing pretty hard along with the sideways rain on Friday. There were more than a few people skiing but not myself.I was surprised they opened at all.

    Cannon Lover's Thread

Was so good for Nov/Dec.That crazy sundog was something I've never seen before.Unfortunately we had a fairly bad melt Sunday with quite a bit of rain and a boom of thunder. The upside is that it refroze the natural trails at the summit and the groomers were able to get to them which will...

    Killington Closing Juggernaut

It used to be part of Killingtons "the most, the best, the highest" with its 10 mile mile trail.

Stratton Mountain - New Snow Bowl HSQ

A-Basin's new Beaver lift is up and going through testing.Opens up a lot of new terrain for lift served.

    The NEW Magic Mountain

Its also a quad vs a double so the liftline has to be cleared wider if not already as I'm not familiar with the whole length of the Black.
