    Jay Peak bombshell

At jay with kids for first time this weekend. Looking for restaurant recommendations. Don't mind driving. Is there anything comparable to matterhorn at SR/rack at SL/lookout at K? Something with arcade games for the kids, bar food and draft beer?

Still some skiable woods today. Down draft probably best, fast cream cheese with plenty of coverage.

    VAIL SUCKS

Skied wildcat today for first time in 3 years and it definitely did not suck. Conditions were per expectation, lifts ran and staff was cordial. There has been some investment in the facilities: new bathrooms, new tables in the bar, new bags shelves and new paint. The southern NH vail properties...

    Time to Research Passes

Not quite sure how it happened but appears I am moving to Franconia next winter and skiing Cannon everyday. Definitely have to grab some turns when you are there.

    Killllington πŸŽΏπŸ‚πŸ‚πŸŽΏπŸŽΏπŸ‚πŸ‚πŸŽΏπŸ˜€

Killington absolutely wins May, there is no question. Problem is that as a 100 day a year family, we only ski there when everything else in the east is closed. The place is rundown and I do not care about their fancy new lodges.

Sunday river and Killington were in similar condition in 2007. Skiing SR or K today leaves the impression that SR prioritized lifts and snowmaking while K prioritized lodges.

    Eclipse PSA

We watched form bullwinkles, unbelievable experience that I hope to enjoy again in life. Got back to the car at 4:00, pulled into house at midnight, normally 3 1/2 hours. Three hours to get off access road, another hour to kingfield, another hour to farmington before the seas parted. Normally...

    Summer 2024 improvements

Interesting on gunstock. Skied 20+ days there this year, lifts felt like a far more urgent need than additional snowmaking trails. Maybe they just had a bad year but the panorama was down more than any other hsdq I have encountered, tiger also down regularly with bizzare loud bangs in bottom...
