    The "Sugarbush Thread"

The nights have been cool so the snow has set up. Upper and Lower Snowball, Racer’s Edge, Spring Fling, Murphy’s, Upper upper Birdland and Lower Organgrinder have good snow pack and ski well. Groomer’s have been creamy first thing but get heavy. Stein’s, Coffee Run, Snowball and Spring Fling...

I agree. It needs a groom.

ME does have the greatest opportunity for trail expansion and we did speak about expansion above Inverness. I surmise that this is still a possibility, but everything gets prioritized. I think continuing to expand snowmaking, replacing NR and employee housing would still be the top priorities.

Actually, that is not always true. The direction of the wind is a big factor and there are many times when the wind is blowing down the line on Bravo is fierce and it is calm on HG.

Agree with Hawk. I think the biggest benefits are reducing the clutter at the loading area on busy days and because the chairs are heavier and the profile might get engineered to be lower, it should be less susceptible to wind hold. With the new Heaven’s Gate Traverse, if Bravo goes on windhold...

You got that right. During my ownership we invested $70 million in capital improvements (not including the real estate that we developed). Most of this was from free cash flow but some was from equity, modest debt and EB-5 financing. Alterra is investing more than I could have as a stand alone...

The chairs can be used as replacement as needed for North Lynx. That is why only some will be sold.

I surmise it is because they will be blasting to make it less of a climb up to the entrance of Organgrinder and Jester from the exit ramp of the new lift. By the way It was creamy on the slopes this morning and I think fewer than 50 people enjoying it. The rain is holding off until later. This...

Yesterday was a really fun. Parking lots filled up really early. First laps on North Lynx were awesome and then moved over to the Bravo side where everything was good spring skiing. Busy but never waited even ten minutes in line. I have never seen more people in the Courtyard waiting for...

It used to be one driver and a couple of patrollers. The big staffing issue is lift operators and F&B on the mountain. I don’t know if this has changed at all.

Honestly, I am not in the know on this and have not really been in touch the past few months but am around more now. I did know that HG would likely close the end of March but had not thought through what other trail closures might be necessary, so I am not sure why CR and the other trails...

Hawk, that is exactly correct. Les gave away the ability to do anything more in the Basin.
