Got there at 9 and ut was snowing..that gropply crap. Met Jim a d off we go to zki the frozen groomers..in the fog..grey skies..and ..groppel.
It never warmed up much until around 230..the bumps where sporty except way down low. The woods20180401_095717.jpg20180401_105205.jpg where toast.
Made it till almost 330..so not a bad day. Better than pruning the shrubbery as mrs slug was doing.
They might get another 2 weeks ..who knows.

Those woods actually don't look too bad for Belleayre in early April... How was the coverage on snowmaking trails? That's what matters for this time of year.

Coverage was very good, almost no bare spots. Its cold up there. I remember skiing in a lake at the top this time of year many years ago. They even have some huge mounds to push around for coverage.

Terrible grooming job on the upper headwall of Dot. Snowmaking trails have plenty of snow still.

After skiing the trees at Belle all of March it was depressing to see the coverage in the woods yesterday. Especially after skiing trees everywhere last Monday. But that's the difference a week makes in April.
