Crack snowmaking crew.

Always enjoy the hate directed to NYS/ORDA ski areas. Especially funny coming from someone living in Utah.

They've also focused a lot on really upgrading their snowmaking system the past several years. Those improvements are really paying off...

1) What you call "hate", I call easily verified and proven, historical financial reality. It's not emo for me, just factual truths. Belleayre is dependent upon financial handouts (aka money from New York State residents paychecks being "given" to it) for its survival.

2) Not really understanding the "Utah" bit related to this, as none of the ski areas here are government controlled.

I dunno why you chose to take shots at me, it's not like I said anything pretty much everyone here doesn't already know. You genuinely think Bell would invest the snowmaking resources it has into opening mid-November if they were financially accountable to turning a PROFIT for their survival?!?!?! REALLY?!?!?!

They have shiny new toys and know how to use them. Living upstate I'm glad some of my tax dollars go to something I enjoy.

Utah winter sports benefitted greatly from billions in public money for the 2002 Winter Olympics, with more to come in 2034. A shiny new road to Snowbasin being one example from 2002.
