We went to Klocke Estates in Hudson, NY today and I was instantly transported to the Seven Glaciers bar at the top of Alyeska’s gondola, sitting at the bar and looking through the bottles at the Catskills. Same experience except viewing the Chugach mountains. Been to many mountain top bars over the years, Klocke is a spectacular place if you have never been.

My 3 favorites... No particular order... Black Line Tavern at Magic, Grizzlies at Stratton and the Station Taproom at Mount Snow... all 3 have BIG walls of glass looking up the hill from the bar!

Seven Glaciers is a special spot! Trying to remember the name of their signature cocktail.

The Eagle’s Eye Restaurant at the top of the Kicking Horse Gondola. Can’t think of one I’ve been to with more stunning views than there.

Summit Lodge at Snowbird FTW. I’m interested to see how the new Mid Gad Lodge looks.

This is a thread right up my ally.

Haven't hit the Tap Room but the other 2 choices I love.

I think we have 2 catagories here. Views and Apres Ski Bars. For views some of my favorites the Sundeck at Ajax, the lodge at the top of Mt Sunapee, the new lodge at the top of Killington, and Snowbirds new lodge at the top is pretty impressive.

On the other hand for Apres Ski bars I've got a bunch. Dr Jeff listed 2 of them. the Paul Bunyon Room and Gordies in town at Loon, Castlerock Pub. Used to love the Bar at "Huntah" (and all the Staten Island girls) but I haven't been there in a long time and I have heard it's not the same and The Thirsty Camel at Camelback which has also not been the same for a while but a new GM/VP has just come on board (and I know him) so maybe we can bend his ear to get it back again.

Gordi’s in Lincoln
Out west I've got a new favorite, the Sunspot Lodge at Winter Park which has a mountain top happy hour accessed by the gondola. Bands food drink and everything.

Blue Bird Bistro at Granby Ranch is a pretty fun and has a nice window where one can get food and beverage while sunning on the deck. Steamboat had a bunch of drink places on the "square" there and Jack's and Downhill Dukes at Copper.

Gordi’s is dark and dreary.

I've always liked having a couple at the top of the tram at Heavenly with the great views of Tahoe. And then a run down Gunbarrel to end the day (or a download if two turns into more😃)

Loveland - ptarmigan roost!
This is a totally fun thread! My original intent was the act of sitting at the bar looking at the bottles and the mountains beyond the window behind the bottles. Not many places designed like this that I can think of. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/...59e06e/Klocke_Bar_Sunset_RGB.jpg?format=2500w I could not take a photo of this because of the glare. The Catskills are beautiful. This is a great place for a drink!

Eagle’s Eye is the first place I thought of too. The bar is situated in front of a wall of windows with some of the most spectacular scenery in NA.

I’ll never forget my first visit. I arrived at the mountain during a storm, a last minute change of plans to avoid rain at Fernie. Visibility was nonexistent for much of the day, so I had very little sense of where I was or what the mountain looked like.

After numerous pow laps, I stopped at the bar for a late lunch. Just as I was starting to eat, the clouds parted and the views of Rogers Pass and Glacier National Park smacked me in the face.

Not my photos, but here are two more places I've been to where you can get a drink and enjoy a great mountain view in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

View of legendary High Rustler slope (left-center) from dining room/bar area of Gold Miner Daughters Lodge, Alta:
