Liked it the first few years after Grant Wilson built it in 91, then everything went to crap.
Food was always shitty, beer metza metza at best.
Definitive is top 5 beer in Maine. Others in top 5 - lone pine, MBC, Austin st, and Bissell brothers. Also way Better than the shitty other 2 places down the road.

One of my favorite make-shift bars in the world is the top deck at Lincoln Peak. This from Christmas 2021, the ornaments that were all hung with care behind us are filled with either bourbon or Heady Topper. We soaked in the sun and the drinks until they were all gone!

New Mid-Gad Restaurant appears to be somewhat similar to the old one and nearly identical footprint, perhaps a bit more glass-looking, instead of wood beams. I believe it will be ready for this season. This photo is from spring of 2025.

Here's a photo of the old one from Apr 2, 2023, just before a 60 inch snowstorm. It was already getting hard to enter, had to walk down a mound of snow to get to lower restroom area. Snowbird got 838" of snow that winter.

The lower room to the left was my go-to brown bag lunch area. Used it many times each season for lunch breaks, scenic and convenient to the slopes and restrooms! Plenty BYOB sessions in there too🍺 Will miss it if that sort of thing is phased out with new design.
Do you know if it will have a deck? that was kinda really what i like about it.

The cold one at the Bar des Glaciers after completing the Aiguille Du Midi in Chamonix hit different.....

Back in New England.... Nobody has mentioned Matty B's at Attitash Mountain Village. Their wings are great too!
You mean the mer de glace! that is what you ski to get to the Glacier bar. The Aiguille Du Midi is the lift ride up.

The Burz Mountian Refuge just above Arabba Italy. We would finish there everyday and then ski a steep ass run right down to the hotel.

Snowbird's new Mid-Gad restaurant structure will feature a single-level, open-space design with floor-to-ceiling windows, an expanded patio, and an all-electric building to reduce local emissions. While a new name for the venue is The Nest.
  • Opening: The new restaurant is scheduled to open on Dec 10, 2025
  • Views: The new building will feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows on three sides to provide panoramic views of the valley and canyon.
  • Design: The interior will have an open-space, cafeteria-style layout with expanded seating and convenient restrooms on a single level.
  • Outdoor space: A large outdoor deck with space for 90 diners, heated seating, and fire pits has been added.

Sure? I believe the ski run itself is called the Vallee Blanche, but the rope descent on top of the Aiguille Du Midi made me pecker up thats for sure.
