1. 12/5 - Stratton - solid corduroy and upper standard and liftline open on natural. Solid opener
2, 12/6 - Killington - full day at K. Suprisingly good naturals. Ended the day with hippie pow laps at RH.
3. 12/7 - Stratton - 7:45 to 10 early up for Ikoners. 10 laps and then got the fuck out when the masses came online.
4. 12/17 - Stratton - midweek days are so much better at Stratton. Natural snow trails hanging in there. Great early season day
5. 12/18 - Sugarbush LP- warm day Pre rain Storm. spent most of the day at castle rock. Some nice natural snow still there. My top early season day for sure. Boney entrance to paradise led way to much better snow on the lower trails.

Good 3 days of skiing even after the rain. Snowmaking trails in great shape and naturals had skiable coverage. New Superstar lift is very nice. I thought the best skiing was on the Skye peak side of the resort. Lots of snowmaking going on over at Snowdon in addition to many skiers.

Holy crap Belle was a shitshow today. 13" from the storm Friday night got everyone motivated to come out and ski. HSQ quad being down certainly didn't help. Lines were ridiculous.

Yet despite that I skied from 9:15-3 and the conditions were very nice. Good packed powder everywhere and good bumps on several trails.

Looked pretty busy at pats yesterday when I stopped by with the wife to pick up our uphill passes. The valley lodge had lunch on tap so we each grabbed one while waiting in line for our passes.

Holiday commitments are done and back to skiing. Black was a lot of fun Saturday. Full parking lot but the place never felt too busy. They are blowing snow everywhere, from the J-bar area to even the cliffs on Upper Galloping Goose, so more terrain should be opening very soon.

Definitely on the busier side, but conditions were pretty good. We actually ate lunch in Valley ourselves

Tally through December:

1. Stowe 11/23 - 10.6k
2. Stowe 11/24 - 25.8k

3. Mt Snow 12/9 - 21.8k

Kind of a shitty day on the cold windy hardpack, but enough to get the burn going in the legs.

4. Okemo 12/16 - 20.9k

Sneaky good day with quite a few trails open on thin but soft natural. Early season soft and thin days are always really fun to me.

Wanted one or two more in December but between work being insane and Christmas commitments it wasn't meant to be. Now my boss is on vacation for 2 weeks so I'm still so stuck working 6 days a week until mid January. We'll see if it's worth getting out anywhere on New Year's Day or next Sunday.

Will be nice to finally get this season fully rolling the weekend of Jan 11th.
