Killington has been pretty outstanding the past 10 days or so. Been having problems signing onto the site recently. If I do get online I get booted off pretty quickly. My solution was to re-register as a user. Not ideal.

Cold day so not a lot of people out. Everything was open although you had to be really careful in the glades with some pretty nasty rocks here and there. Raggae Glades and Sweepstakes were getting some windblown snow and were probably my favorites of the day.

Beautiful clear day at Black. Was joined by some family members who had never been. Showed them the full Black experience and they loved everything about the place. Finally got to ride the infamous J-bar where there was still untouched snow on that entire skiers right slope. Also couldn’t believe the snowmaking work done. Especially the cliffs on the entire double lift line as seen in the pics below. Also huge whales made on Mr. Rew (now called Black Hole). Ended the day at the Shovel Handle Pub.

Both Black Mtn’s in one weekend. The sun the day before definitely settled the fresh snow, but it was still very enjoyable. The glades are really something else here. Contenders for best in the state when filled in. And they probably have the best snow base I’ve seen in them right now. Also the first time I’ve made it to hiking terrain on the summit and east side.
