20. Mt. Abram. Wife wanted to try touring and uphilling so to Abram we went as they rent the full setups. Think she likes it for a change of pace!

21. SR. Not much sun after 1030 and when the light went out, so did the temps. Some snow showers in the afternoon, snow stayed fairly dry out in the western pods especially. Still some fresh lines available, even in marked glades.

1) Park City (Canyons) - 1/02 holy hell it's terrible, but kid's clinics start this weekend & wanted to get the little a day on snow prior
2) Park City (Canyons) - 1/03 the first legitimate east coast conditions I've experienced in Utah. Brought back memories
3) Park City (Canyons) - 1/09 took 4 after school runs with the wife & little one on blue groomers. Conditions better after the recent snow, still not great.
4) Park City (Canyons) - 1/10 bizarrely empty! Conditions much improved. Powder in the trees. Lord, it feels like ski season finally.
5) Park City (Park City) - 1/17 MLK Friday & empty! Icy moguls, steep groomers icy, groomed beginner & intermediate terrain was okay.
6) Park City (Park City) - 1/23 Took the little one up McConkey's for the first time for some Georgeanna & Powder Monkey fun. Snow's good (not sure how).
7) Park City (Canyons) - 1/24 Empty. Even more bizarrely so than MLK weekend. Literally the only person on multiple trails. Ski on all day. On SATURDAY!
8) Park City (Canyons) - 1/31 Empty. Another empty Saturday of ski-on lifts. Groomer only. Decent considering no snow. Anything steep is east coast though.
9) Park City (Canyons) - 2/07 Empty. Another empty Saturday of ski-on lift. Groomer only. Decent considering no snow. Furrys. Lots of Furrys.
10) Park City (Canyons)- 2/13 After school Saddleback laps with the wife & little one. Six inches fell, but sadly I felt no difference. We need MUCH more.
11) Park City (Canyons)- 2/20 What is this white stuff?!?! Still empty. Just a few hours of after school laps with the wife & little one.
12) Park City (Canyons)- 2/21 Busiest day of the year, snow brings crowds. Caught in a slide on 9990 (RP Shoots). Bluebird day. Lost a ski. But I'm okay!
13) Park City (Canyons)- 2/27 Really bad conditions. Lost a TON of snow in the last 6 days. At this point, hoping we can make it to April. NEED SNOW.
14) Park City (Canyons)- 2/28 SUCKS!

High tide conditions at K right now. Everything skiing well. They made a ton of snow. SS glacier under construction. Cruisy woods in fine condition. Pushed hard on Wed Thurs, then woke up on Fri with a very sore and weak right knee. So, it was groomers only on Friday and the conditions early morning were awesome. Good up until 2 pm or so. Called it a day at 2:30. Drove home and remarkably my knee felt fine when I got home. No pain since and no swelling. Feels strong. Learned a lesson...OK to ski hard and push myself as long as I mix in a day of groomers. Right knee is shot, no cartilage left. Going to call my ortho tomorrow and get on the schedule for a knee replacement. I have accepted the fact that it's not going to get better.

I skied 10 days in February. Mostly weekday mornings at my local resort, Mountain Creek. A couple weekend mornings there too until it got busy since passholders get to start at 8 am.

I also skied 2 weekend days with my wife at Mt. Peter. Almost all the days except for one were the best conditions I've skied in probably over a decade. I'm going to be sad to see the warmup next week.

First day ever at Burke and we really enjoyed the terrain. While the thaw-freeze did impact the snow in spots, we found the East Bowl terrain to not be affected as much. Had some fun laps in those glades and the Power Line trail. When not skiing there, we found the groomers to be really fun as well.

At 8 days through February, which is 10 off last year's pace. But I also skied 0 days last March so maybe I can make up that gap this month?

Been a weird year. The heavy winter at home has been an absolute pain in the ass at work and it's getting tiring trying to find places to put snow at home. Last year was great because it snowed a lot in northern VT and was wintry feeling but not very snowy at home, so the itch remained all winter. This year I'm just totally over winter at this point. An ill timed Florida trip didn't help (missed spectacular conditions here and naturally I happened to be in Florida on one of the coldest weeks in decades). I also definitely got spoiled last winter. The conditions at Stowe for about 5 straight weeks were straight up Utah. Sure there's been even more snow this year, but I've been disappointed not being able to replicate that same sweet soft base as last year and I really shouldn't be because this is still eons better than most of our winters.

Planning on a Bolton/Stowe trip this Sunday-Tuesday but the forecast is disconcerting. I would love 3 warm days, but I feel like it's also gonna be more rain than sun. Guess we shall see.

Totally agree, last year was the ultimate with lots of snow and cold up north but none for most part in the south.

i hear you. the brutal cold and heavy snow at home has made this season somewhat difficult. i also missed several good ski days in northern vermont due to my house move, my fiance not having her own car til 12/28, and a few storms that would have been great skiing but i had to skip for driving safety concerns. missed a great stretch pre x-mas due to family obligations, then the post x-mas days had that massive ice event which sent me back to nyc for phish on 12/29.

re: sunday to tuesday tho - i think sunny and warm is in the cards. the r*in seems to be done by late saturday night/early sunday morning.

i am hoping to ski some soft groomers sunday at stratton, and sneak out of work early enough to bag some sunset laps at catamount or west on monday and/or tuesday

That’s why I said (partially joking partially not) we need a column for missed days. Like @Zand i missed sometime having to go to Florida thus missing what was reported a really good New England weekend in December. Of course the weather always catches up with us here in the east. Spent one Saturday at Stratton in the hot tub at Black Bear Lodge due to - 45 windchills. Cancelled one weekend for the same reason and another day to beat the blizzard home (we did).

Still time for things to change but it looks like I'm hitting it right this weekend. Rain Saturday (but nothing heavy so won't be a big issue) before I head up and then a few clear days in the 40s and 50s. Sunshine, corn, and outdoor beers sounds like a great plan to me!
