Cold pics for a hot day (Mt. Washington powder day!) 4-24-09

Mt. Washington picked up 14 inches of nice dense powder Wednesday into Thursday. Knowing that it was going to be quite warm out Friday we got a stupidly early start of 6:30 Friday morning to harvest the pow. Sadly we were unable to ski the summit snowfields because of ridiculous winds (we were barely able to stand) but we were able to harvest some sweet powder along of the cog + take in some amazing views. Skiing powder one day then dying because of 85 degrees temps the next is quite the interesting experience.

A solid foot of nice dense powder on the tracks making skinning quite nice:

That's awesome! Love the pics of the snow....and then the brown valley. What a contrast!
