Plan ahead, re-train some of the people you plan to lay off, get a few of the higher ups to help out. It can be done. It was not too long ago you'd see Kelly working the lift lines in early season...
I ski at Mount Snow. Megapass in full effect there given they were ground zero for the big snowstorm last week. What was truly disappointing was that they were still at Pre-Christmas staffing...
Only exception is Mount Snow Bootworks. Wouldn't trust anyone else!
So Mount Snow has moved their opening day up to Wednesday now! Great news!
Not an insider, but from experience, try calling again, but ask to speak to someone in the Season Pass Office. They usually have someone staffed over there that should be able to help you.
Agreed. And also amazed that FBGM is providing constructive feedback for once!
Gonna have to wait another week for Mount Snow. Opening next Friday.
Can't we please just ban this guy?
Looks like Mount Snow is getting the Hermitage snow guns that were auctioned yesterday!
Does anyone know what type of pass Mount Snow instructors and junior instructors will be given for the 2019/20 season? Peak Pass or Epic, etc?
So upgrade price assuming you bought your Peak Pass early will be $310 to get the unlimited Epic Pass.
I suppose you can read it two ways. Here is the text:
"You will receive current benefits and will be charged or refunded the difference in price based on the day of the exchange"
I re-read the FAQ's, and my take on it now is that the upgrade cost will the difference on date of exchange between Peak and Epic passes. So what you paid for the Peak pass won't matter. What will...
From my read of the FAQ's, the upgrade cost from Peak Pass to Epic pass would be the difference from what you paid for the Peak Pass at time of purchase, and the cost of Epic at closing of the...
Just saw this. Went to look for comments on the season pass holder forum for Mount Snow and was locked out. Big changes are coming, and probably even bigger crowds. Ughhh!
In all seriousness, it's more surprising the Peak would yield majority ownership to any investor, and for what - to acquire SnowTime??
I would add that 116 underfoot skiing east coast hardpack puts a lot of stress on the knees if you are tipping and carving. Can't be good long term.
Wondering if anyone has been lately and has a report to share?
Killington on Friday- yes or no? Looks like rain won't start up again until late in the day on Friday.
Even if they stayed open, which I personally wish they would have, how many people would realistically show up? Lots of people seem to complain about mountains closing, but I doubt most of those...
Looks like they will open in phases, with the retail mall opening first. So perhaps that is what we will see at the end of summer. As for the ski building, the exterior looks like it hasn't been...
Drove by it yesterday. I'll be amazed if it can open by then.
Was hoping to get to Wildcat on Sunday or Monday, despite the rain. But what worries me are the winds predicted. Does anyone know how they do lift-wise on windy days?
