    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Glad to hear this... guys like me make their living producing marketing materials like this package. Yes, I bet it was expensive. Wish I printed and mailed it! How many IKON Pass holders are out there? Thousands or tens of thousands? How many passes do they sell?

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

I think nobody here encountered (or remembers!) the insane lines at Heavens Gate last year. The worst and longest lines ever. They will need traffic direction down there this year if we are more crowded as is being predicted here. Maybe get one of those dancing cops you see.... keep it fun for all!

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

My biggest fear about IKON, even more than crowds, is that they start closing trails down like that. I love that it is up to the skier to determine where they want to ski, regardless. It is one of the biggest things that separates SB from other areas and helps make trails less crowded for...

tell me about idaho, specifically indy resorts

I would spend more time at Red over Schweitzer if you like steeps. It’s also a relatively short and easy hike to the top of Roberts to access some great terrain.

Help me decide where to go in 2022

Having 10 years experience at Killington followed by the last 16 years at sugarbush, based on shopping for food, it is hands down 100% Sugarbush where you want to be. I want to move to the MRV solely for Mehurons Supermarket. Its one of the best anywhere. We love cooking in up there thanks to...

Wow! It's a good thing you can't ski year round in these parts... I've skied in New England during the months of October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June and July 5th (at tuck's). Been down south doing it in August so I've missed only September. Just gotta string...

    Any place Demo snowboards?

The Skeleton Key is the most versatile board I have ever ridden, just get one, you wont regret it! It does everything well and has a great surfy feel. Go a touch shorter than your old school decks. I used to ride 162’s and the SK is a 158 For me. For Burton, it’s a mid-priced board so it won’t...

    Alaska Heli Skiing Accident

I wouldn’t hesitate one second! Had an incredible pilot, flew in Vietnam, the flying in those mountains was almost as good as the skiing. So glad to not recognize the names in the article. Incredible flying skills, straight up, down, landing on tiny ridges or hovering over mountain tops to jump...
