    High Priced Lift Tickets

Not anytime soon. Both are still outrageously expensive. Both also put the brakes on when IKON began to overrun their resorts. The ironic part is that Aspen (the Ski Corp/Crowns) owns a large chunk of Alterra.

Ski slope Interactions, confrontations & Fights with and without Mountain Ops/Security.

I remember seeing this a few years back. As someone said, seems too good to be true. The culprit happens to be wearing a MAGA hat? And the filmer happened to know to take a hard right to the park instead of downslope while in pursuit? That yellow jacket ambassador was NOWHERE to be seen when the...

    Cannon Lover's Thread

Thanks. I see that you interpret BodeMiller1 language. ;) And I can see that weight is a concern, especially if a large number of carriers need to be removed. I have regularly seen one or maybe two chairs off a line, but not many more. As to the missing grips, this is another case of supply...

What are you talking about? Someone said the issue was not weight but grips.

Yeah, that too! I think if a chair is not in operation the best practice is to take it off.

Wait…these chairs were ON the line instead of being taken off? WTF? That sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Anyone try the Hand Out Pro Gloves?

It’s a bummer that BPO bought Cabela’s. The latter made some great outerwear.

    High Priced Lift Tickets

For Alterra-owned areas, this discretion has only recently been granted and quite reluctantly. Deer Valley finally was allowed to ditch the Base pass. It only took their CEO/President walking off the job literally days before opening in 2021-2022 and three years of issues and complaints from...

Anyone try the Hand Out Pro Gloves?

Now that you mention it, the zipper pull failed at Big Sky when it was really cold last year.

Anyone try the Hand Out Pro Gloves?

FWIW mine are an older model with different zippers IIRC. That said, they look pretty similar to yours. My first issue was that the zipper track itself tore out of the glove due to repeated wear and tear. The second issue was the the zipper pull itself snapped off. The replacement one a private...

    High Priced Lift Tickets

I kind of sensed that you wanted to focus on training and that does take time, Additionally, you don't want to get injured skiing or riding. I remember when I did snowshoeing, XC, and skiing recreationally. What you said is exactly how I felt. It has come down to I spend a lot of $$$ on a pass...

Anyone try the Hand Out Pro Gloves?

Loved mine. The gloves are great but the zipper wore out after about 3 seasons of moderate use. I took them to be repaired and the repair shop just cannot get good enough zippers that stand up. Great idea, I got mine at their booth at a season pass event at Brighton on a significant discount...
