    Loon's grooming capabilities?

surprised at the responses, I am a big midweek loon fan, snowmaking is up there with the best in the east but their one weakness is recovering from freeze/thaw, not sure how to describe it other than a shallow groom? - was planning to ski loon tomorrow, going to work and ski monday instead...

    Ragged gets a new GM

That is a badge of honor. What trail? Got a basement full of those but all on the edge. Never been able to get the p tex to stick on the edge.

    Ragged gets a new GM

Probably the best the place has skied over the last two seasons. Had the six and ten year old with me, on a personal level it will be memorable as the first time the three of us enjoyed a full day of trees/natural. Good news is this old guy was the last one standing, always let them get ahead so...

    VAIL SUCKS

There is a coach in our club that works landscaping in the summer and used to make snow. Dude rips. Became a coach because "making snow sucks".

    VAIL SUCKS

Forced to ski sunapee today, ending a two year vail boycot. Was not terrible. One question for the big pass crowd. Why do you people congregate at the top?

    VAIL SUCKS

I tried, unfortunately they have NHARA by the balls. $97 for a midweek ticket at sunapee. Zero parent discount for a midweek skills day, hauling half a team home from the event. Everyone of those kids parent's paid $80 for the privilege.

Sugarloaf West Mtn Expansion and HSQ officially a go

Sugarloaf is currently reporting 439 acres while killington is showing 381 acres. Were you skiing mostly natural or has boyne built yet another omnipotent snowmaking system at the loaf?

    Your 2022-2023 Ski Season Thread

Euro must be broken, 10 day shows a northeast jackpot over 3 storms.

Sugarloaf West Mtn Expansion and HSQ officially a go

Unless the relocated Crest terminates on the great western side of the ridge, doesn't appear that a single lift will get you out of that drainage.

    VAIL SUCKS

Alterra not going to happen. I don't know how RCR is doing financially but they are a better fit geographically.

    VAIL SUCKS

Tell me about it. Depending on how the season goes I could be stuck at a vail NH property up to ten days this year.

    NH is vail's shitting grounds.

    VAIL SUCKS

All the kids are ragged pass holders. Ragged is basically in business solely to be the anti-epic in Southern NH. Unfortunately, vail properties still host the majority of the camps and races in NH. Don't mind watching races but not much to do while the kids train for a full day. Guess it is the...

    VAIL SUCKS

I think the epic passholder has to be there. Boyne let's you email the discount, it is a code the ticket buyer enters online at time if purchase. There is a u12 NHARA camp and I agreed to chaperone, all the other parents have to work. Only thing worse than spending $100 to ski sunapee is...

    VAIL SUCKS

I am being forced to ski sunapee on Friday. Is there any work around on the $100 ticket? Don't think I have ever paid $100 for a day of skiing.

Sugarloaf West Mtn Expansion and HSQ officially a go

Needed RFID card for wife at loon couple weeks back. Used boyne points to purchase buddy ticket online the night before. Scanned email QR at south peak kiosk, card popped out of machine. Entire process took maybe 30 seconds on a holiday.

Does it always piss hot rain right before or on Christmas in eastern ski country or does if just seem that way?

2007 I skied K on MLK weekend in a t shirt, start of the season was so bad ASC waived the MLK weekend blackouts on the cheap pass. Then Valentines day happened, most snow I have ever seen in a single storm, kept snowing for another couple months with st Patty's day and Easter dumps. 2015 ground...

    Ragged gets a new GM

Appears they went back to showboat after the initial pushout. Probably want to be done with spear for the year when forced to shutdown tomorrow. Last year they moved to lower ridge when done with spear, hoping for birches first.
