    Stratton 3/21 onward

At the end of the season, you generally want warmer and sunny days while skiing. Otherwise, it'll be fast and firm.

Colorado (A-basin, Vail, Beaver Creek and Loveland) 3/6-9

Sounds sweet but you know what they say.... Pics or it didn't happen!

You'll be just over the backside from Platty.

    Gloves

I just put the handwarmers in the glove with my hand. Keep it on the backside of my fingers while skiing so it doesn't interfere with my grip.

    The Grateful Thread

Stadium shows just plain and simply suck. Except for a few SPAC shows over the years I used to always pass on them when Jerry was alive for $20/tix. I am certainly not going to do any different and start going now at these prices for JM. Plus, to me Furthur, Dead & Co. are Dead Cover bands...

    Killington nightmare

IMHO, the amount of people on that trail is a whole hell of a lot scarier than that ice!!

Where to rent tele skis & boots

Cool. I haven't been to Bromley in a while but they always used to embrace tele. Telemarkdown goes all over on the telefest rounds. Platty's is next Friday the 26th and Greek Peak's is the next day. Telemarkdown will be at both.

    Gloves

I must admit that I used my FTP gloves this past weekend in some really cold temps and they were quite warm. I may yet change my mind on them from my first impression depending on how well they hold up vs. time. My BD gloves are practically indestructable but have seem to lost some warmth over...

    The Grateful Thread

I am seeing Phil on Thursday. So stoked. Let me know if you get a tix. I just can't get into seeing Dead & Co. at these large stadium venues. I passed on tix. I rarely went to the large venue shows (other than a SPAC show or 2) when Jerry was alive for $25 let alone $100 now without him. If...

    Berkshire east passholder questions

As someone who grew up skiing at Magic and Berkshire East 40 years ago when I was your kid's age, I couldn't think of many better places to make your home mountain to ski with your kids. It is a great medium sized hill that has really solid management and puts out a consistent product...things...

Right Ski , Left Ski ?

One of the advantages of NTN tele is that they do not have a left and right binding like tradtional 75 mm tele bindings do.

    Annoying Okemo fanboy

Its easier to blow snow on a golf course like Okemo than most ski mountains.

    Catamount 1/21/16 (snowmaking pipe broke)

Catamount does a really good job and has been around for generations. They probably have always had more revenue than Magic. Butternut is just up the road from Catamount but IMHO, Catamount has more interesting terrain.

    Hermitage's new lift

Just go ski Platty. No six pack but you get everything else you mentioned plus you also actually get some good ski terrain.

What the heck is going on at Magic?

Stopping it is fully within your control. Just don't open the thread. But, you continually just push buttons for no reason. You're like a 4 year old.

What the heck is going on at Magic?

It is so sad... I grew up skiing at Magic. I'm really not in the know anymore, but I assume Magic has enough water and snow making infrastructure to cover at least a few trails top to bottom. If that is true, the ONLY reason they are not open at this juncture is due to management not wanting...
