    Big Burke announcement

I'm honored that something I (partially) wrote has found its way onto AlpineZone (I work for RSG)! Interesting idea about the rerouting.... man that is a whole lot of money for one silly house. How steep is that area where you sketched your proposed road in? When/If this project gets back to us...

    CircumBurke 2012

Nice! Sounds like an awesome time. Definitely have to put it on my calendar for next year. Edit: And I just creeped on you on Strava if you're wondering who the random person who just started following you is.

    Bike Log 2012

About 115 rides total so far. 100 mountain bike XC, 5 DH at Highland, about 10 on the road. Probably not going to break 200 for the year since fall will be pretty busy, but should be pretty darn close. The problem with this is that bikes don't last. After not even a year and a half my...

    Swagger Wagon

Hah. That just made my day. And ERJ, everything said was tongue-in-cheek so no need to take offense (at least I think it was).

    Strava

Exactly. Wicked fun to race each other on segments during a ride then get back to the parking lot and compare/ jokingly talk shit.

    Strava

Been using it for a couple months. Pretty fun to beat XC weight weenie dweebs on my heavy as hell hardtail with DH wheels/tires. All depends on the place though. There are some XC places where I can kick ass, and others where I get destroyed. Bought myself a $150 road bike today so I can...

YouTube / Vimeo MT Bike Video Thread

Nope. No where in my neck of the woods. I'm thinking somewhere north or west. The terrain in the video was a lot more mountainous than anything around here (or in most of southern New England) That video was ridiculous though. I absolutely love what those guys are doing with natural...

    Skinnies/Log Rides

But if you're not going super slow there is really no need to wheelie drop. If you get most your weight over the rear wheel and pull up a bit on the handle bars it amazing how slow you can drop without giving a pedal kick. After I learned how to do this I rarely find a need to wheelie drop...

    Skinnies/Log Rides

What are you preferred gear ratios for each? Seems weird to be that different. I run a 32 up front and prefer to wheelie drop from anywhere between the 2nd biggest and 4th out back. And those are also the rings I use for log skinnies. Actually I pretty much never use another other rings...
