    Blood pressure (or lack thereof)

Matt - Thanks so much for all the compliments. It was a fun ride for sure! Re: your BP - there are a number of possible causes for the drops you are experiencing and only your cardiologist can find the answer to your specific case. A cardiac and/or exercise stress test might be in order....I...

    Age and MTBs

Interesting topic. I’m 62 and the youngest in my regular mtb group. We ride most of the same trails as the younger folks, but at a slightly different pace. Not slow, just different. We don’t usually tackle the freeride stunts although some of us would like to try. We know what we are capable...

    The Trails Less Travelled...Burlington/Bristol/Harwinton 2010-08-29

Thanks to Woodcore for spending the hours looking for new trails during the rainstorms last week! His time and efforts paid off, big time. Rode a lot of trails that were new to most of us. Several more that we just didn't have time to explore. And a big THANK YOU to the gnomes du forest that...

    Nass - 8/8/10

B - Loggers eliminated most of the cutover from yellow to white dot, especially up in the Burn. Skidding logs out to dam at the res. Most of Den gone too. Gnomes busy rebuilding!!

    Nass today

Instant Classic Woodcore - rode the new one. Several times better than original walk-through! Will become an instant classic. Beautiful job. Especially like how you addressed the stream crossing. I too, thought the pic was from in there.

    Nass 4.14.10

TM on the two upper single twistie deadfalls is complete and riding well. Caution: the section of the (solid) blue trail between junction of the purple dot and the junction of the white dot trails is washed out and difficult to ride by all but the very best riders (I could barely walk it)...

    Nassahegan 4.10.10

Rode in the Nass woods again today but chose different routes. Mostly up the 69er and down the Hinman's (or the Woddcore if the CF folks rename it in his honor). 69er is very wet soon after you enter it due to the cemetery swamp outflow - be careful there as many braids are popping up already...

    Nassahegan 4.10.10

Got a chance to ride the Soccer Fields and trails leading into the Stone Road area. Amazingly dry. Leafy, with some areas requiring further stick and branch clearing but overall very nice and fast. Woodcore's 2009 TM efforts near the brook crossing are holding up fine. Two new, large deadfalls...

    Nassahegon 1/22/10

Got a chance to ride with Sandy and yesmandroc yesterday in the Burlington woods. Interesting ride with a mixture of ice, crusty snow and completely dry trails. Studs not required except in the twisties across from the Scoville parking lot which are heavily rutted ice chutes. I am currently...

    Okemo - 1/21/10

Conditions: Temps in the 20's, high winds up top with fog on upper third of the mountain. Sunny down below. Groomed out packed powder, no ice. Okemo's skiing quite nicely for this time of year. Claimed 100% open but difficult to get to some of the "open" trails on Jackson. Fairly large crowds...

    Where's Waldo - 2009/12/31

Huge milage Core!! If I had done 1/2 that amount, I'd have to take the entire winter off to rest up. But I suspect the word "rest" isn't in your vocabulary. See you on the slopes.

Sunny Surprise - Burlington, CT 2009-10-17

Loved reading the report, especially with the pictures added! Have found that other riders REALLY appreciate the TM work although few ever get the chance to tell you. Spent an hour clearing trails yesterday up on Johnnycake. The storm did take down a lot of trees and the heavy snows bent many...

    Nass Mini Epic - 10/11/2009

Brian - to give you an idea, I bagged out 1/2 way through and still logged 14 miles. Evil met me at the cars since he had cramped up pretty bad and still no Woodcore and Greg. Who knows - one of them might still be out there getting the final miles in!

Nass soccer fields - Friday 7:30 am

Jim of a 1000 dabs Now I remember! We'll get a ride together in there when I get back from vacation. Are you still Jim of a 1000 dabs? I loved that name, since it kinda describes my riding.
