Driving from Vegas to Snowbird in Early March

I suggest you look at hotel availability in Cedar City. It's a popular place to stay and a gateway for Zion and other Parks so rooms can fill up. There are several other options North of Cedar in case you get in a pickle. I drive that route from Northern AZ a lot. Plenty of cell service...

    The Grateful Thread

Thanks for the video. I totally agree about the Trey comment. I've never seen any footage nor was I around in 69' to see Jerry getting into it like that. Where in the world did you dig that up?

    Vacation to Phoenix

Definitely recommend Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona. Sedona is a must see and Oak creek has some great hiking. I personally like the West Fork trail in Oak Creek but there are many others. Be sure to check on closures because of a recent wildfire they may be closed. You might be a little...

Choosing a College if you are a Skier

Went to school in Bozeman for the skiing and to study wildlife biology. Chose Bozeman over other schools because of the proximity to Bridger and the smaller town feel it once was.

NJ Helmet Law for Skiers & Snowboarders U18

Telemarkers use leashes because our bindings don't have brakes if the ski was to come off.

    Snowbound in car 9 days

The problem is too many people rely on their GPS and don't take the time to see what route it's sending you. There's a road near Powers, OR that sends you through the Cascades to get to the coast and every winter someone gets stranded or worse. A map and some common sense will go a long way...

The "courtesy flush"- whats your take?

I would love to see the results and find out the details involved with timing and other factors. I've experimented with flushing cycles with mixed results.

    Your favorite New England brew?

Yes. Stowe’s a great mountain but The Shed is the deciding factor especially to return the keg.

The "courtesy flush"- whats your take?

If I know the person and were friends then maybe. Strangers, sorry you won't get any sympathy from me. Not sure it really works anyway. Could be an excellent idea for Mythbusters or a Master's thesis.

    Your favorite New England brew?

The Shed. Great beer and memories driving an hour to grab a barrel and bring the delicious treat home.

David Coombs age 4 skiing corbetts

I would like to see some footage of the little dude making turns. I've seen a few people in chutes scrape not ski down. Photo gave me flashbacks of people sliding down chutes taking the snow with them. I agree it takes ballz at any age to even scrape your way down and I've seen the pros scrape...

    Bozeman, MT

Graduated from MSU and moved from Bozeman in 2004. Still haven't found any place like it. It grew a lot in ten years but plenty of areas to still get lost. Some of the folks are a little bitter about outsiders but if you enjoy the outdoors and like to put a few beers back you will have no...

    Your Choice?

I choose mountains like I choose hotels. Which one has the bar? I like the quality not the quantity. The same is true for skiing.

    Snowiest Cities

Crater Lake, OR averages 44 ft. I'm sure that puts it near the top, but no mention. Also Flagstaff, AZ is 7000 ft plenty high enough but I think there numbers are from Humphreys which is over 12,000.
