Monday January 19th Something is brewing in New England

Reports are totally legit. 2 untracked runs down expo at Jay then to the woods for fresh tracks the entire day. Best day of the year - 28" now in the past week at Jay. It was deep in the woods. I was staying a few miles away in Montgomery VT, well below base elevation. During the drive up it...

16" at Massif du Sud Thurs night - good leftovers today. Riding Le Massif or Mt. St. Anne tomorrow. Hoping it stays mostly snow. 4th year in a row I've chased to Quebec around Xmas/New Years to outrun a crappy situation in New England. Plus the food is amazing. Sent from my iPad using AlpineZone

    12/21 Storm Speculation

And I think 'no support' is a little inaccurate bulldog. All the mets I follow have been discussing the poss. of a storm for just as long. The upgraded GPS was showing it. 500mb was supporting a storm. Etc. The mets certainly know a lot more than anyone I've heard on here...myself included...

    12/21 Storm Speculation

Way too early to tell a week away. The Euro has been good with storms this year (and it's just the best medium range model in general), so when it shows a big storm, even a week out, it's worth careful watching. This is in no way a slam dunk, but the Euro showing a big storm is better than it...
