    Loon/Cannon 3/8-3/10

Nice, Cannon was excellent on Sunday. I noticed a lot of racers. Here's a nice shot:

Where will you be on Saturday morning?

One word: NELSAP I just don't feel like dealing with the crowds and potential wind. The east is ravenous and there will be a frenzy...I don't mind leftovers in the least, but nowadays there are a lot of not-so-great skiers out there who psych themselves up for pow when they actually have no...

trip reports on glades in the NE?

I agree with bdfreetuna, you'll be fine anywhere north of Killington. At magic I suspect you might hit some snakes. Glades at Killington and Sugarbush during the deep freeze a couple weeks ago had solid coverage (I made a trip report and took some pics if you want to get an idea). True it's...

Sugarbush: Saturday 1/26 (nice pics included)

Will try to let the pictures speak for themselves as much as possible, but we shall see... Skied Sugarbush last Saturday and didn't get around to making a report until now. We stayed in the valley but got a bit of a late start, so ended up starting around 9 or so. Temp at the base was 8° and it...

    Wachusett 1.5.2012

I've heard a couple of those rangers on the lift bragging about how many tickets they pulled that day. They definitely sounded on the younger side. I know most of them aren't like that, but the aim behind pulling tickets should be to make things safer for everyone, rather than being a ski nazi...

    Wachusett: Sunday 11/25/2012

I personally would much rather see Smith a full blown bump run, and have them keep 10th fully groomed. 10th has so much more traffic than Smith, especially from people who really aren't ready for that trail yet. So either everyone squeezes to the narrow groomed half, turning it to a crowded...

    Wachusett: Sunday 11/25/2012

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! It looks like they changed the projected opening day to Friday, so a slight improvement there, though I still think they have enough snow to open up Ralph's and Challenger as we speak. They opened those two up last year with less snow than there is now...
