    Cannon Lover's Thread

Does anyone know if Cannon is making snow? I don't see anything about snow making on their website. The webcam shows natural snow. Any info?

How cold have you slept in your vehicle ?

No winter hookups at Lafayette Place and Hancock. However, The Franconia Notch RV park (Echo Lake Parking lot) has 7 sites with hook ups and are open all winter. They are walking distance to the lifts at Cannon Mountain. I always wanted to rent an RV and go there!

How cold have you slept in your vehicle ?

There are two camp grounds near Loon and Cannon Mountain that are open all year long. Lafayette Place in Franconia Notch and the Hancock Campground up the Kancamaugus Highway from Loon. Go for it.

A Little Bit of Cannon Mountain....in Utah

It's an easy hike to get to that spot. It also has a good view of the Lafayette Range to the left. From Cannon Mountain web site: Artists' Bluff BALD MOUNTAIN and ARTISTS BLUFF, reached by a short hike, offer some of the best views of Cannon Mountain and Franconia Notch for the effort...

    Season Pass Options/Considerations

Would like to see Cannon set up an outdoor area to boot up at the bottom of Zoomer. Would be great for business at the Zoomer bar too!

    Season Pass Options/Considerations

Love Cannon access. One hour and 15 minutes for me to get to the Tram Station. Boot up and I'm at the summit in no time. I'm going to miss the Tram this winter if it doesn't run.

    Season Pass Options/Considerations

Cannon is for skiers, everyday. Loon and Waterville Valley are both for Boston on weekends and holidays, I won't go to either of them during those times. Loon is great mid-week if you want to get a lot of vertical on groomers off of high speed lifts. Loon does have one of the best après-ski...

    Cannon Lover's Thread

I will miss the 8:15 am first tracks tram on the weekends if they don't run it. Keeping it closed will make the main lodge and parking even more crowded. I don't see how they can have it opened though. Too bad, it's so easy to pull off the highway and in 100 yards you're at the tram parking...

    Boots n' Buckles

Do you untie them when you take them off, or just pull-yank-use the other foot to pry them off-leave them tied until you put them on again?

    Boot Flex

I have never purchased a pair of ski boots without putting my feet into the shell with out the liner. Slide your toes to the front of the boot so they are just touching the toe box of the shell, there should be about 1/2 inch of space between your heel and the back of the shell.

    How about something different

If you liked Smugglers Notch, you might like the RV Park in Franconia Notch State Park. It's right next to Cannon Mountain Ski Resort and just feet away from Echo Lake at the bottom of the ski slopes. It only has about a dozen sights. I've always wanted to camp there, but I don't have an RV...

    How about something different

2014 Vintage, full bodied-very bold-liked it a lot. I always find Spanish Red wines are a good bargain compared to French and Italian wines.
