#9 Ktahdn and another spelling were before Katahdin. I never heard highest mountain, only greatest mountain. So saying Mount Katahdin is like saying Mount Greatest Mountain.

I shovel. Lots of times I just put it in 4WD and go - this year I've shovelled less than ever as my Xterra goes through most anything. Once I didn't quite dare chance it as the bank the plow left was waist deep and 4 feet wide. I shoulda tried it first!

Great idea! I do that with my grandkids, and we have a blast!

For suppers I usually bring some "base" items, then some "add mes." The base can be mashed potato, mac&cheese, tortellini, rice meals, etc. The add mes are dehydrated onions, veggies, cheese, foil pouch meats, whatever....all are made with minimum cooking time (5 minutes) or just add water...
