    Eclipse PSA

I was fortunate enough to see the eclipse from my backyard. It was truly amazing. The difference between 99% and totality can't be overstated. It felt like being on an alien planet. I will definitely seek out another eclipse before I die.

Heck, this thread was started by me 2 years before the state realized that something was amiss.

“State to pay $16.5 million” really means “taxpayers to pay…”

Does it always piss hot rain right before or on Christmas in eastern ski country or does if just seem that way?

Same. I have never had an issue with the language barrier - and I have been all over Quebec. And just use your credit card. No need to use that funny money.

So now that the whole saga is over, I have an interesting story. Some of you may remember that I used to post quite a bit about my suspicions that the EB-5 program at Jay Peak was a scam. It was basically Benedict Gomez and I leading the charge - with most people thinking that we were...

Electric Cars/Trucks and winter weather testing with results. What do you think? Who has taken one in Freezing cold long distance to a Ski mountain?

I drive all sorts of vehicles through my work. I usually have a vehicle for 2-4 weeks and then swap into something different. I absolutely love the Acadia. It's a great size and drives really nicely. And it's comfortable, too. The Denali version is pricey, but it's a beautiful vehicle. I...

Electric Cars/Trucks and winter weather testing with results. What do you think? Who has taken one in Freezing cold long distance to a Ski mountain?

I own a Chevrolet Bolt. I don't have time to read the entire thread, so pardon me if this has been covered. In the winter, if I use my heater like I want to, my range loss is 35-40%. Level 3 chargers are notoriously unreliable and still take time even when they are working. I love my Bolt...

i got bored and booked a 2 week ski trip

    1) Pay lots of money for the RV; 2) Pay to park it somewhere; 3) Pay to maintain the RV and find out how cheaply they are made; 4) Pay insane money for gas; 5) Try to find winter campsites and pay for them; 6) Watch your RV depreciate, especially when yours has exposure to lots of salt whereas...

Any investor knows that some serious money needs to be spent on the mountain itself. All of these new hotels are great, but nothing was done to the mountain itself. No matter how you slice it, EB-5 proved to be a good way to waste millions of dollars. It's nice that Jay Peak got some...

Rolling Stone claims that they are. True, they make up stories like college rape scandals. But they are not a satirical website, which is why your argument fails.

If you have to equate a news outlet to The Onion in order to prop up your position, it’s time to reassess your position.
