    Tenney Mountain

SSB interviewed Egan and says he's moving to an advisory or consulting position next season.

    Tenney Mountain

I'm probably buying a pass for next season. Egan's departure is disappointing, but I really like the place. Slow chairlift included.

Utah Ski Area Base Lodge Burns

I'm starting to wonder about the viability of MCP as a company. They just bought Valle Nevado and took control of Sandia Peak, but they announced that Hesperus won't open for 24-25.

Skier falls and dies on Mt Washington amugst multiple rescues this weekend

Simply untrue. Iirc, Washington is the deadliest mountain in the lower 48 for climbers/skiers.

    Indy Ski Pass

Powderhorn is a nice addition. Looks like all the PGRI resorts except for Ragged. Still no Tahoe... 10% off cat skiing..meh.

    Indy Ski Pass

Indy's Mogenson just posted an update on FB. Jay stays. Teasing new resorts announced tomorrow.

    Indy Ski Pass

We're not mad Krusty.....just disappointed. 😁. To demonstrate your loyalty, you must go on all social media networks the next time Indy teases a new resort and post : "Maybe it's Vail! Please let it be Vail!"

    Indy Ski Pass

How does that change anything? A PGRI pass holder that visits Jay with a Ragged pass sends $0 dollars to Indy. The exact same amount as a No Boundaries passholder visiting Dartmouth skiway (had Indy not strongarmed them off).

    Indy Ski Pass

He doesn't say why Indy wouldn't let them control their own destiny. Is it the limitation on other partnerships? The whole 30 seconds it takes to look up a pass member for redemption? Ikon or Epic partnerships likely come with some degree of control, but Indy? Even the busiest Indy mountains...

    Indy Ski Pass

PGRI had purchased Jay prior to this season, but agreed to keep it on Indy. Who knows what they'll do this year? Holding onto Jay blurs the lines a bit for Indy. PGRI is every bit as corporate an operator as Boyne or POWDR. Jay is also, as of now at least, the only resort in their portfolio...

    Indy Ski Pass

Maybe Sundance. Ideal fit but they have a reciprocal deal with Cooper. Indy would require them to ditch that.

    Indy Ski Pass

Not at all. They're making a few lifts private. They're also lifting the cap on season passes, inviting the unwashed masses in wholesale. It won't likely ever go fully private, especially with Wasatch Peaks nearby. I really enjoy powmow, at least the indy years iteration of it. Had a couple...

    Indy Ski Pass

I bought one. Ethically conflicted about it. Indy has been so unwilling to play well in the sandbox with others, but have spent $250 already this year when work dropped me in the neighborhood of Indy resorts.

    Tenney Mountain

That is absolutely huge. Wow. I wouldn't thing Egan would go near that place. He must be it hing for a challenge.

    Cheapskates 2023-24 thread

Yeah. And the BMOM tix were super cheap last year. IIRC it was something like $15 Thursday/$25 Fridays? Screaming deal.

    Cheapskates 2023-24 thread

I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on No Boundaries. When Indy went full mobster, I bought a Ski Cooper pass. No Boundaries would round out the NE offerings nicely. Perhaps a few Cannon NH resident days too. Saddleback is offering passholders of other independent mountains in Maine $59...
