    VAIL SUCKS

Here is my reading of the press release. Vail Resorts, Inc. ("Vail Resorts") is acquiring a 55-percent ownership stake in Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG. ASA will retain a 40-percent ownership stake in Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG Pre-transaction: ASA (The Andermatt Swiss Alps Group) also owns...

    RFID Rant

SB, Killington, Loon, Sugarloaf was all like that. My son and I had to have our IKON RFID replaced at Killington, Loon. They were just dead. Seem fragile. No physical damage that we know of or can see.

    2021-22 Season Passes

Just want to chime in on South Peak. We were at Loon for 3 days this season. A sunny and icy/hard packed Friday afternoon, storm Saturday, Bluebird Sunday. Bluebird Sunday had the longest line. At least 10min starting around 10:15am. Storm Saturday was about 5-10min, Friday afternoon was a...

    Study on ski helmets

I'm intrigued by James Kunt's postings. Has a few relevant keywords, but follows no rhyme nor logic. No ads either. Perhaps a keyword based AI bot?

Vermont Skier Visits Down Significantly Due to COVID-19

I think that's what the Canadians are doing. Stretching out dose 2 to months apart in an effort to get dose 1 to more people.

Permanent Industry Changes in the Post-COVID World

I'm with thetrailboss sometimes that I, myself, as an Ikon pass holder, openly wondered with my son whether Alta would be better off with a more exclusive business model. Maybe not quite the yellowstone club level of exclusivity. I, for one, would be happy to buy day tickets at Alta for less...

    anti-fog solution

I used to use Sea Drops anti fog for diving and snorkel masks, applied to my prescription glasses and goggles, after the OTG goggles' have lost its antifog coating. It will leave a film and reduce visibility somewhat, but nowhere near as bad as when they fog up. You can find it on Amazon. I...

    Damage report thread

Windham was the most crowded we have seen this year, including the weekend immediately after a big storm earlier this year. Dust on crust conditions. My son said a day on the mountain is better than a day away. ROTD: upper wolverine. Most likely thanks to the snow markers from earlier this week.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

How was condition today at LP or ME? Went to Loon today as both GFS and European models suggested later transition to rain, but transitioned to pellets at 2pm and freezing rain at 3pm.

Vt dropping travel restrictions for people vaccinated effective Feb 23rd

My son and I just came back from a trip in ME instead of VT. Saw still predominantly ME, MA plates in a parking lot. Only noticed one other CT plate in the lot. But honestly weather forecast played a role too. Was expecting 8-12 inches of snow at Sugarloaf but got graupel and pelletes...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Have always been impressed with your knowledge of lifts, but just want to point out that I was at the ME side Sunday and Monday. Didn't see Slide Brook running on either day.

Need recommendation on GPS tracker for ski

Ski tracks. Good satellite map mode, good backup of histories. I have gone through like 3 cell phones and still have all my history. Worth the $1 or how ever much I paid. Tried many of the free apps before settling on the Ski Tracks.

    A flatlander storm Wednesday?

But I'm never the less impressed by how much destruction there was. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
