Extreme Snowboard Carving Serious Safety and Skiing Community issue

The snowboarder was dumb to not look uphill but the ski code is written with the understanding that people do dumb things. If they're taking such a direct line across the slope it should be easy to avoid them if you're giving them enough space.

    Plan my trip

Schweitzer and Silver is a great Ikon+Indy duo. Easy drive from Spokane airport.

    Skiology Matt in Litigation

Was curious why the thread was deleted, so I was glad to see this. That was perfectly stated and reasoned. Props @Harvey

booked a big canada trip for february ... must be august

I hit Pano on my way up to Banff and the way back down before heading to Fernie this year, mostly because I remembered passing through Invermere the year prior and it was a new Ikon addition. Would not recommend spending 4 days there, you'll be bored to tears.

    Tremblant Gondola Accident

Damaging the cabins but not the rope would indicate to me that timing was indeed everything in regards to clearance.

I'm normally not one for arbitrary number goals...but you have to get to 100

    VAIL SUCKS

At least that's a solid beer....usually you're paying that much for worse. Speaking of VT breweries...would love to see some Hill Farmstead on tap at more hills around VT.

i got bored and booked a 2 week ski trip

I stopped at Panorama on my way up to Lake Louise/Sunshine Village and then again back on my way to Fernie. As nearly every skiier you mention Panorama to in CA will tell you, it's great for groomers and views...but that's about it. Both my accomodations were nice/affordable (Copper Point in...

Sugarloaf West Mtn Expansion and HSQ officially a go

Self checkout all the way. No more getting stuck behind someone pulling out a checkbook or counting exact change, penny by penny, when there's a line of folks behind them waiting to use their card to pay for their couple of items. Those people still exist, of course, but they're using the...

    Help with a 'Western' trip/destination

With your experience taking public transportation I'm not sure why you wouldn't help the OP with specific options rather than just a generic "co/ut/bc all were super easy by public transit"

    Help with a 'Western' trip/destination

How much does cost enter the equation? Booking this close to your trip, lodging in SLC can be WAY cheaper than Steamboat if you want it to be. The Schweitzer/Silver duo mentioned is perfect for Ikon+Indy holders who aren't looking for high alpine, and you'd still be able to find reasonably...

A beer or drink at Lunch, a warming shot on the Lift, a sip in the Woods. Do you?? Don't you?? How far have you seen a person drink and Ski or ride??

You should take a hint and realize people don't want the bullshit political arguments on a ski forum during ski season.

    Electrical Rates Skyrocket

I've noticed people around here are terrible at judging sarcasm...I guarantee you there will be people that think you are being serious.

I could quite literally bring up a page of Granite getting extremely personal, especially with Kusty and deadhead over the last week. He was the one who started slinging arrows so it's very odd see someone criticizing others for "getting personal with him."

Electric Cars/Trucks and winter weather testing with results. What do you think? Who has taken one in Freezing cold long distance to a Ski mountain?

Out of nearly every man-made piece of equipment related to energy production I can't think of one more aesthetically pleasing than a windmill.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Restaurant industry just needs to get together and start bribing universities to include working menial jobs as a requirement for admission.

Advil isn't used by 90% of people for fun though so you're not risking opening what would would amount to a billion dollar loophole for people to jump through by claiming they're using it for medicine. If we were talking CBD then I'd see it as more of an apples to apples comparison. Your logic...
