    A flatlander storm Wednesday?

    What a disaster for Belleayre - that's where I normally ski, but now that the gondola is there, I usually just ski out of the lower lodge. It's one thing one too of another for ski mountains.

    Crotched Mountain 12-19-20 unmitigated disaster #VailFail

    I was there on the 23rd, no issues other than a 15 minute wait to pick up the card. Lines weren't terrible, lift lines were staffed. Lifts turned, etc.

    I think superstar is a great trail! When. I was a kids coach, taking 6 year olds up the super star quad was a great move, plenty of capable skiers to help and then you head of the back way.

    These days, mostly Belleayre Mtn 8n the Catskills. I used to be a kids instructor at Killington, but that was a while ago now.

    Which skis?

    I used to be an instructor and everyone I knew would ask me about ski buying - I always vote for a demo day - skis with similar lengths, widths, and turn radius can feel quite different underfoot. I assume you have boots already?

    COVID concerns in the Northeast

    Belleayre opened today - watched the webcam all day - saw almost no one! I'm headed there this weekend and I'll post back. I'm also aiming for Crotched Mtn in NH and Whiteface before 2020 is done - hopefully people follow the rules and mountains stay open.

    Hello - new member here - I used to live in New England and worked in outdoor education, but then, foolishly, life happened, and now I live in NYC. My kids are old enough now to start going on real adventures so I searched up a forum and here I am! I ski, bike, run, hike, try to do tris, etc...
