I had meant to write about the day in the woods at the Beav, Pali at A-basin, and Lover's Leap at Vail. But...The Burn (and all of peak 10) at Breck were just crazy good.

How does the European Blue/Red/Black rating system stack up against our Blue/Black system? What about width and surface? How do they impact difficulty? Out west, lots of bowls tend to be rated black, but they are often easier (due to snow) than a significantly less steep, but icy, NE blue...
