    Blue Hills uphill policy?

i ended up going during the storm last week. No issues what so ever. My buddy got there before I did and skinned up and 'skied' down before I arrived. He told me to not bother putting my skins on as it was faster to just boot up the hill. We met two snowboarders that worked at blue hills that...

    Blue Hills uphill policy?

I hiked back on the other site of blue hills over the summer... and I was VERY surprised how rocky it was. Thanks for the tips.

    Blue Hills uphill policy?

yeah I saw that, but am not going to worry about it... If they do I will challenge them to a ski off which I will win obviously. There are two hiking trails next to the museum which look skinable. If not the road it is!

    Blue Hills uphill policy?

hmmm... well that is just stupid. It is public land... oh well the DCR website specifically says: Blue Hills Reservation Ski Touring and Cross-Country Blue Hills Reservation, Milton/Canton, 617-698-1802 Open seven days a week, dawn until dusk. Bulletin boards, Maps and trail Markers delineate...

    Blue Hills uphill policy?

Anyone know if Blue Hills in Mass frowns upon skinning before they open? I don't really care if they yell at me, I just don't want my car towed while I am on the hill. Figured they don't open until 2pm tomorrow so I can skin up and be gone before they spin the lifts...

Rumor: Burke Mountain to announce new High Speed Quad to the top?

My buddy that snowboards there says that waxing his board before each day is vital due to the run out. haha

New Lifts at Jay for 2011 - 2012 Season

Used the RFID tickets at Steven's Pass out in Washington... They were pretty sweet. No annoying ticket or pass to get snagged on trees or lifts as you could keep them in an exterior pocket. They were rechargeable so you didn't have a stack of lift tickets on your coat.

Should I hold an extreme skiing clinic this year, at Killington?

...if only my pass wasn't blacked out this weekend...

    No turning on the traverses!!!

I know what you are talking about... Great Northern kind of near the bottom of the Glades Triple where it is flat is another problem area. I don't care if you make small turns, but from side to side with no consistency is what bothers me. People will make a small turn then a huge one to the...

Should I hold an extreme skiing clinic this year, at Killington?

I thought it was pretty clear that you were joking with the use of the word extreme... apparently it wasn't that clear to some. I would definitely try to show up for the 'clinic' if it happens. I got a pass for Killington this year so I will be there most likely anyways.

The Real reason Killington isn't opening....

I just don't think that is realistic... I would think it would cost way more $ to make snow than any money they would bring in through season pass sales and K50 sales from a few days. Then again they could be banking on the people who purchased those items to buy alot of over priced food and...

    footbeds and bootfitters

Anyone ever use Wilderness House on Comm Ave in Allston? I got my boots blown out there last year and it worked pretty well. They use that A Line footbed (which I was already using) and it worked out well. I am going back there soon most likely to get some intuition liners to replace my packed...

Pants down or up? New fashion or stupid?

Tall Tee's are hilarious for skiing. You got to love seeing a little spoiled brat trying to act 'gangsta' with his new Saga outerwear outfit and season pass that his mommy and daddy paid for (probably to just shut the little shit up).

10 Best Mt Biking Spots in New England

I agree... I bet the places listed in the article have more user friendly trails in general than where most of us ride. I mean that in terms of not only challenging the terrain is, but parking, signage, and accurate maps. I know they have maps for Vietnam and Lynn Woods, for example, but good...

The Beast of the East is Back!

10 Best Mt Biking Spots in New England

I have never ridden at any of the areas on that list, but I am glad it doesn't include Lynn Woods. I love Lynn Woods. Keep it off the radar of those that would be looking on Boston.com for riding spots! Vietnam gets enough traffic now due to the NEMBA trails back in there. I used to ride there...
