Not enough ski days for me to get hurt, honestly next season I have my hurt percentage go up for sure.

Been injury free for quite a few years.

Same here! Knock on wood!

And speaking of wood......

Been home with the flu the last couple of days.

Been watching ski porn for most of that time.

Way way way more than 4 hrs.

That's as close to an injury as I care to endure.

pulled my left bicep tendon right off the bone ended my season abruptly. Surgery and rehab fixed it all, should be good to go next season. Pole plant in the ice got stuck pulling my arm behind me and POP. Amazing how multiple Advil's can deaden pain, I skied the next two days with 1 arm. I knew I did something serious but didn't know I needed surgery until my whole arm turned black & blue. The doctor thought I was an idiot for not going to the emergency room, looking back I guess he was right.

Funny how many of my injuries come from poles. I had a finger crushed between 2 poles when I fell on them and sandwiched my finger in between, my finger will have a bone bump on it for life. Last year while skiing through trees, I lost control and was going head-on into a tree, I stuck my arm out to latch onto a tree and crushed my right bicep at the elbow. Didn't need surgery but my muscles in that arm still squeak and groan when I work out. Tore my left hamstring in my left leg, when it healed by itself it tightened or shortened so now it clicks when I bend my left knee. Come to think of it, all my injuries came from skiing. On the bright side, my right leg is still virgin.............

Ouch! I did that with my pole 2 winters ago..got stuck in wet snowmaking snow, but luckily it freed itself, then helicoptered like crazy (woulda killed someone lol) and I just had a sore shoulder for a few months. Good luck with rehab and getting out again next year. Maybe slow down a bit  (I know..I know..impossible lol).

Broken rib 12/31- still tweaks me at unexpected times.... The sh!t snow we had during my recovery made it a little more bearable... But the spring I was looking forward to dissapointed obviously.

knock on wood, thank god, I was injury free this season. and the new acl held up admirably. interestingly though with the early demise of ski season, I started playing softball and damned if I dont hurt myself every game. pulled hamstring, smashed finger, banged knee. 'nothing serious but im limping along.

Did something to my biceps tendon skiing to end up with tendonitis and it didn't hold me back much, but it's taken a while to get better. Will be fine by next season.

I managed to stay injury free this season. Though the weather wasn't great, I did manage to get in 82 days and a few powder and woods days. Hopefully next year will be a better snow year!

Update: I've noticed as I get to my mid-50's that my lower back always aches at the end of the season. Nothing major, just achiness, and it always goes away, but it can get annoying. This past season my lower back was definitely twisted up and bothersome. Meant to get adjusted by my back cracker, haven't had the time. So, yesterday after shaving for work I turned to get into the shower...reached in, turned on the water, and stepped into the shower. Next thing I know, I'm airborn and parallel to the floor. My 9 year old had left a puddle of shampoo in the shower and guess who slipped on it.

They say time slows when disaster strikes. It's true. Almost seemed like time stopped as I was in mid-air. I remember looking down and seeing the shower door threshold which is about 4" high...it would suck to land on that I thought. It would also suck to hit my head on the bathroom sink as I headed to the floor. I looked and thought that I could alter my trajectory by holding onto the faucet, but the damned thing turned on me and I lost my grip. I'm gonna get hurt I thought.

Next thing I know, I'm sitting on the floor mat between the shower and the sink. Landed square on my left butt cheek. Didn't hit the threshold or the sink. Didn't hit anything but the floor in fact. Not a scratch on me. So I get up and I feel my back untwist with a loud POP. Saved myself $60 I thought.

My back feels great now. But my left butt cheek is black and blue and pretty sore. Good tradeoff IMO.

Broken finger, which won't re-fuse. Hell, it won't stop me from skiing. I wish all of those who broke, tore or otherwise "over extended" themselves a spee-dee and full recovery

I have a partial tear in my MCL from falling off a log crossing a stream and then playing soccer. It happened the day before I planned on hitting up Tux. I'm so glad it happened at the end of the season for once.

I've been having a helluva spring trying to stay healthy. No injuries to speak of but food has had it's toll. Although I've been running 30+ miles per week I've still managed to pack on six more pounds since February. Argh!

There must be too many ice cream stands along your route

p.s., all the great fruits are now hitting the shelves. That really helped me a lot.

Glad to report that my surgery seems to have gone well and my left arm now feels 100% healed, I honestly don't feel any negative effects of what happened at all. I'm able to do everything I was able to do before. I'll probably be a little nervous when I start skiing again, maybe i'll dull the tips on my poles:) . Here's to hoping it's a good-accident free season, be careful out there!

That's awesome you healed up. That's a weird injury that sort of freaks me out because it sounds like its hard to prevent.

Wow MPK. You have way more notches in your poles than I hope ever to have! I did the old finger crunch with pole trick last season too. That bump is there for sure on the pointer finger. Doc says your most important finger is your thumb. Without it you can't grip.
