Sounds like Friday was the day, but the weekend was not bad at all. North Ridge was good early season skiing, plenty of coverage. Snow quality was awesome. There was enough open with Rime, Reason, Upper East Fall, Great Northern, and some bumps on Mousetrap to keep the hoards manageable. Upper Cascade had some snow, and DD looked like it was blown in places but didn't want to deal with any long walkouts from the Canyon.

Interestingly, crowds were noticeably bigger on Sunday which was opposite of what I expected until about 2pm when it seemed like everyone left. Temps were 40's Sat and 50's on Sun. All in all well worth it.

Hmmm! Good choice on not going down Cascade or DD below GN. Nothing was hit. Just overspray. Upper DD and DD and Cascade got the love but neither trail proper. You would have been walking down hill quite a ways. Excellent snow coverage on trails. How was the lower sections holding up on Sunday. Colder nights return tomorrow, may go again this Friday.

Yeah you could see from the access road that would have been a long walk.

Lower sections held up well but got pretty bumped up by the end of Sunday which was fun for us, maybe not so much for others.

Cold returns tomorrow, trying to scheme Friday or Monday.
