Conditions: Sunny and Cold. Snow was hard pack with some machine groomed surfaces. All the trails were open, some icy spots. All the snow was blown off the eastern side by the afternoon due to the wind.
Arrived at the mtn and the sun was out, but it was -8 at the base. But since there was no wind it wasn't bad. The wind picked up during the day and by 3 it was pretty breezy. Since the most of the western side was in shade it was cold.
The skiing was OK. Not much was groomed and since all the snow was new man made stuff, it was slow. Also they made a lot of snow, but kept it in piles rather than grooming it out, so that didn't help. If you skied onto the pile you just slowed way down. I assume they will groom it out for the weekend, which should make for some good skiing. All in all a good day, just wish they would have groomed more.
