Fi'zi:k M5 Donna Shoes - Women's

BLA.jpg

Fi'zi:k's road shoes have become well known for their incredible comfort, so it only makes sense to bring that same experience to the mountain bike set. The Fi'zi:k M5 Donna Shoes are a strong example of this trickle down. Basically, you get the full befit of Fi'zi:k's considerable know-how, wrapped up in a supportive and stunningly attractive package.
Fi'zi:k built the uppers of the M5 Donna shoes out of a blend of Microtex microfiber, nylon mesh, and leather. The Microtex microfiber and nylon mesh handle ventilation duties, keeping your feet cool when you're working hard. Meanwhile, the anti-scratch leather is applied in high-wear areas like the toe box and heel cup. And although it's a hard-wearing material, the leather remains supple and soft. Additionally, you'll find that it breaks in beautifully, adding comfort to the requisite durability.
And since nobody wants their energy to go to waste, Fi'zi:k employed three retention straps. All three are built out of durable sailcloth, and each are cut wide in order to relieve pressure on your feet. The two foremost straps use a hook-and-loop closure for fine-tuned volume adjustments. And the strap nearest to your ankle attaches via a proprietary ratcheting buckle that's been constructed from aluminum for durability.
However, correct fit alone won't guarantee pedaling efficiency. Accordingly, Fi'zi:k gave the M5 Donna shoes a carbon-reinforced, nylon outsole. And while it's not quite as stiff as the carbon fiber outsole of the M1 series, this outsole combines plenty of stiffness with just enough flex to minimize trail chatter. This design fights foot discomfort, which is a common result of riding extremely stiff shoes off-road. And since you'll end up walking your bike sooner or later, Fi'zi:k added rubber lugs to the bottom of the sole in order to increase your traction on the dirt and rocks.
Fi'zi:k included its Superlight insole in the M5 Donna. And while it's not heat moldable like the 3D Flex insole in its M1 shoes, the Superlight insole benefits from an anatomic design that allows it to fully-support your foot. The Superlight insole also has the added benefit of impact absorbing materials to further reduce trail chatter and to keep your feet feeling fresh after a long day on the trail.
The Fi'zi:k M5 Donna Shoes are available in the color Black and in whole and half sizes from 37.0 to 43.0.
